I’m actually really insecure. I feel like I’m always gonna fuck things up or people will lose interest in me cause I’m too clingy or too passionate or too much of some other trait that bothers them

Trust me when I say that blocking people who annoy you, even if you agree with some of the points they make, is the best thing you can do for yourself.
You don't have to read that long-ass lecture about why the thing you dislike is Wrong And Evil Actually And Anyone Who Says Otherwise Is A Pedo; you don't have to put up with a 10K dissertation about why anyone who thinks XYZ is okay should be avoided because that's a "red flag."
Just block the twerps and move on. They're masturbating into the void and you don't need to participate in any bukkake you don't want to.
Reblogging because I’ve blocked a half-dozen people in my current fandom who’ve been annoying me when I check the show’s tags. It’s not personal, I’m sure they’re nice, but I find their posts obnoxious and so I’m blocking them. And you can do the same! Curate your own experiences, live a fandom life free of the people who make you grit your teeth. Be free.
Babes, the unfollow and block buttons are also a form of self care. Use Them.
Ella Martell as queen would have been everything Sansa should have gotten the chance to idolize. Kind, gracious, with sweet wit. Ladylike and gentle. None of the cold and callous games being played.
Arya would have jumped at the opportunity of being around the Sand Snakes. Her wildness would have played well with the likes of Obara and Lady Lance.
No ... no.
Don't imagine what a Northorn progress would have looked like if a certain prince hadn't taken it upon himself to humiliate his wife.
Don't imagine Sansa and Arya thriving in the presence of people who actually would take a genuine interest in them.
It's a damn shame that a man unworthy of his titles as a prince and knight, of his wife, of his children took it upon himself to spark the flame of ruination that would spread like the wildfire his father used against the party desperately trying to bring justice to a girl they thought had been kidnapped and raped, or worse - killed.
We really could have had it all.
But how do we know that Elia was ladylike or gentle? We get very little information on her, a good chunk of which comes from Barristan, who barely knew her since she and Rhaegar decided to live on Dragonstone rather than King’s Landing. He'll, Barry barely knew Rhaegar and they lived in the same castle for years. But back to Elia...
As a Dornish woman, there's a significant chance that she would be the kind of person a misogynist like Sansa would disapprove of. Dorne is very progressive in comparison with the other regions and comes closer to gender equality. As the spare heir with several examples of different ruling women around her, Elia was likely raised to be assertive, actively political, and expressive in her views. Though her health is something we know held her back from doing everything she wanted, she may have had several interests that she would long to explore (physical combat, hunting, horseback riding, extensive travel, etc), but couldn't or could only do so in a limited capacity. We simply don't know what her personality or preferences were, only the barest circumstances of her life and the culture she was raised in.
And if Elia was as kind as Barristan says and Oberyn hints at in his story (which is likely true), would she approve of a mean-spirited bully who is in favor restrictions on women, like Sansa? Probably not, since Elia would have been raised in a progressive culture that didn't demonize women for not being ladylike. If anything, Sansa might find herself on the wrong side of Elia's wit after too many criticisms on women and what should, in her mind, be their proper behavior.
hello beloveds ☺️
Angst fics can help people come to terms with their own grief, begin healing, or give people that good cry that they need.
Smut fics can help people affirm and accept their sexuality. It can help them explore their sexuality in a safe way. They can also just be fun, and having fun is a drastically undervalued way to improve your mental health.
Dark fics can help people face their fears or process their trauma. It can make them feel safer and more secure. It can help them find their courage.
Fluff fics can give people rest and respite and comfort. It can give them hope that soft places exist and that maybe there is one out there for them. It can bring up their mood, which, if they have depression, can be a life saver.
And every fic people write makes someone feel less alone.
Point being, just because a particular thing doesn’t serve you, doesn’t mean it lacks value.
This is not to say that we have to consume all fic uncritically. Of course not. It is just to say that entire “genres” aren’t trash or lacking value just because they don’t serve you.
I just wanted too see Beleg wearing a white winter cloak and somehow came up with that :D
[…] And Kaz Brekker? A liar, a thief, and utterly without conscience. But he’ll keep to any deal you strike with him.
