  • okay SO.
  • i got my razzmatazz cd
  • put it in my cd/dvd player
  • ripped the tracks onto my computer
  • opened new invention in audacity and found the outro bit
  • reversed it (heard what’s in the audio post)
  • spent a good hour or so trying to translate it without realizing it was in japanese
  • asked a friend who knows japanese and told me that it was definitely japanese and it was saying ‘neko ja nai no’ which means ‘it’s not a cat’
  • googled it out of curiosity…
  • discovered that it is, in fact, actually a direct sample from the 1983 vinyl soundtrack of the manga Neko Janai Mon! (“I’m Not a Cat, You Know!”)

so. yeah. carry on. stream razzmatazz.
