After seeing

This post.

It got me thinking about full government names for the clones. Like when you're mad at someone and you break out the middle name.

So!

Clones full government names list:

Tech as Technology

Echo as Echolalia (this one I'm most proud of because it makes sense!)

Fives as Five-thousand Five Hundred and Fifty Five

Fox as Foxtrot

Wolffe as Wolffegang

Cody as Cody Kenobi (alternatively, my friend sketch suggested Codpiece)

Rex as Tyrannosaurus Rex

Wrecker as Wrecking Ball

Please add more suggestions I can't think of any others

Okay I have been obsessed with @m00ntunaart’s Daemon AU and so I drew what I thought my oc Mira’s Daemon would be (an eyelash viper?? I forgot the name) and since Hunter is her man I drew their Daemon’s hanging together!

AAAAAAAAAAA this is so cute! I love people making daemons for their OCs! Eeek! AND A SNAKE AAA I LOVE SNAKES.

I’m so glad you like my AU! Imma have to make some art of my Clone OCs with their daemons in this AU too!

Got me thinking about my Clone OCs and their daemons, as well as my Jedi and Mandalorian OCs

Kirin, my Mandalorian, would definitely add his Daemon to his armour.

OH OH OH Daemons in armour!!! Beskar for the Daemons!!!

Also I feel like Mandos, as a very family focused culture, would also have a lot of dog daemons like clones, as well as any other pack/ herd/ pride animals.

I think my Mando, Kirin, would absolutely use that to argue that the clones are mandalorian. He does that anyway in his canon- he views them as Mandalorians and thinks that Jango should have raised them all properly, that they should be given beskar and not plastoid because they've more than earned it, but in this AU?

Kirin: gestures vaguely at all the dog and canine daemons "this is Mandalorian 101. They could be a textbook example-"

Do you think Cody cried when he painted over his 212th gold with gray? Do you think his tears mixed with the paint and watered it down (and sometimes, if you look closely, you can see 212th gold peaking through)? Do you think Boil could see it sometimes? Do you think Cody could see it ( and some nights, would sit and stare at the flecks of colour and think about his jedi)?

Ramblings of an incoherent man but oh boy Codywan makes my heart pain

Hit post???

I feel the need to say I wrote this while very inebriated and watching the Bad Batch S2. I didn't expect anyone to actually respond to it because it's completely incoherent to me but I'm glad people got the pain I was going for.

I can write far more eloquently than this. For example!

When Cody painted over the 212th gold, a part of him died- the part that was Cody and not CC-2224, the part that spent long nights with his General. He was haunted by ghosts and not just the ghost of Obi-Wan, but the ghost of himself- the ghost of the man he once was. He could see it in the flecks of gold peaking through the grey paint, in the way he'd look to the side expecting to see a familiar mop of auburn hair, the way he always looked for blue armour and jaig eyes.

Do you think Obi-Wan forgave him? Do you think Rex would have understood him? Logic told him his brave, wonderful Jedi would never have blamed him for this, but the guilt? The guilt ate him inside, like gold paint breaking through grey, cracks in the clouds where sunlight streams through.

It was inevitable, I think, for Cody to leave the empire. After all, sunlight can't be contained by clouds forever.

Slightly less incoherent ramblings today! Alas I have work.

Suffer with me :)

I Need More Domino Squad and Bad Batch stuff.

I've seen some great art of it but have yet to find any fanfics ( TBF I haven't looked...).

If anyone has some recommendations yell it at me

I'm thinking about if the Dominos all survived. The boys helping Fives get out of dodge after the whole chip thing. Then the lot of them demanding to be on the mission to rescue Echo. The Dominos and the Batch bonding over being ""rejects"".

Fives getting to see his twin and everything that was done to him....

If no one's written a fanfic like this I'll have to add it to the list of fanfics I need to write at some point.

I keep thinking about the concept of clone twins.

Like,,, how that works first of all, and then what it would mean. What does it mean to be twins when you're already genetically identical to everyone around you? How does it impact squad dynamics? How would the kaminoans react? If a batch is supposed to be five people, then wouldn't there be six if they're twins in the "split from the same embryo" sense? That would surely throw off the kaminoans, who are obsessed with "defects". Would being born a twin be seen as a defect? Would they have a distinction between the ""original"" clone of the pair?

I have so many questions.

Also! If you think clone twins exist, which canon clones do you think are twins? I know people have said Tech and Crosshair previously. I've also seen Echo and Fives, Wolffe and Fox, Bly and Ponds before.

This is consuming my thoughts I can't do my work because my brain is just spinning with Clone Twins Questions

Ok I’m being so brave about it but a couple of days ago I saw this post claiming that the Jedi saying ‘this weapon [your lightsaber] is your life’ is emblematic of ‘the Jedi’s failure as peacekeepers’ (not an exact quote but pretty close) because why would a weapon be the life of a peacekeeper?

And like. The Jedi are a culture. They’re a religion.

You know that, right? You know that many cultures, including generally peaceful ones, have sacred weapons, right? You know that the bond between a Jedi and their crystal(s) is an extremely sacred thing that requires the consent of both parties and is integral to their way of life, right?

You know that lightsabers are not intended to be only for killing, right? That the first thing Luke learns to do with his lightsaber is to shield and defend? You know that a culture having sacred weapons doesn’t mean that they view killing as sacred, right?

Not trying to start shit, I don’t even remember who said it, but ugh

lightsaber combat is literally a martial art. if you look at what wikipedia says martial arts are:

I put special emphasis on "practiced for a number of reasons such as physical, mental and spiritual development; and the preservation of a nation's intangible cultural heritage" because that's exactly why the jedi have lightsaber combat: it's part of their culture, as essential to it as the Force, and it's a way to train and connect with themselves, each other, and the Force. plenty of martial arts use weapons like swords and staffs, and it's most notable on asian martial arts like kendo, which is literally what lightsaber combat in the movies was inspired on. the weapons don't mean they're more violent than unarmed martial arts, or that they are meant to kill. they're just a different style of martial art, much like music has so many different genres.

plus, lightsabers are extremely limited in range, they are obviously meant for defense over offense. they can only cut down people who get close enough to be within range of the blade, and even though they can deflect blaster shots they still need to have been shot at first. using a lightsaber to kill is easy. anyone who gets their hands on a lightsaber can do that. using a lightsaber to defend, to save lives? now that requires plenty of training, discipline and understanding of oneself and one's weapon. that's what lightsaber combat is. that's why jedi carry lightsabers.

if the jedi were armed to kill, they'd be carrying blasters like the rest of the galaxy

Honestly, guys, reblog this version maulfucker said it WAY better

I want to say something poetic about Obi Wan and Form 3, but also just form 3 in general. Not sure how well I can phrase what I'm thinking but I'm going to Try.

Form 3 was developed in response to the usage of blasters. It was developed to Protect Others and the user because Form 1 and 2 couldn't defend against blasters. The whole point of form 3 is having a strong defense. Deflecting blaster bolts helped, but when it was first being developed they didn't know how to deflect back at the enemy- just how to keep it from themselves.

This is on: Obi Wan Kenobi being the most Jedi Jedi. The lightsaber is a religious weapon, and I would argue that Form 3 is one of the most if not the most Jedi like forms. This isn't to say that it's better than any of the others (though it is my favourite) but that the skills required and the way it's used is very Jedi. One of the most important things with Form 3 is keeping yourself centered- and isn't that a key Jedi teaching- both physically and mentally. You use smaller movements because wider broad strokes can leave you open to attacks (not just you, but those you are protecting). You need to be calm in the face of it all, or else you won't be able to keep up your defense. In Form 3 you have to be like a mountain, unmovable, unbreakable. You make your enemy tired, sloppy, angry, and you take advantage of it. By that time, you would likely have tried all forms of negotiation leaving fighting the only viable option. You have to have patience and the ability to outlast your opponents- that requires internal peace.

I'm just rambling at this point but the fact that Obi Wan switched to form 3 after Qui Gon's death is just so fitting. He switched to a form focusing on defense so that he would never lose someone again.

Form 3 is just so... Jedi like. Calm, measured. I can see exactly how practicing it could be a religious experience. You have to trust in the force to reflect bolts, you have to trust in yourself too.

All of the lightsaber forms are so interesting especially viewing them from the lens of a lightsaber is a religious weapon, but form 3 will always be my favourite. Soresu my beloved.

Please please please please if anyone wants to be my friend and talk about mandalorians or clones or anything I will Listen and talk Forever.

LIKE OH MY GOD I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO ABOUT THEM. bad batch season 3 makes me SICK it's so Good. I need someone to talk to about it. Same just about mandalorians. Like lukewarm ass take but The True Mandolorians Should have been the leaders of Mandalore and it's so sad that they weren't. I often wonder what might have happened if Jaster Mereel had lived, if he'd united Mandalore. Fucking nerd my beloved

Ugh and Cody!! Cody Kote where did you go after Crosshair ??? I'm so angry that we didn't get him in obi wan S1 because They Were Going To have him be with obi wan, have them be living together. But the COWARDS didn't do it.

I should draw my clone squad OCs that I have along with their Jedi General. Don't get attached because all bar one are dead.

ALSO I KNOW ONE IS UNFORTUNATELY ACCIDENTALLY A CANON NAME I STOLE. I tried to Google as many of them as possible but I gave up because being a teacher is tiring as hell. Also there's like 6.2 million clones so chances are a couple of names got repeated.

The squad itself is split into a few different batches. The first set of batch brothers are Seven, Stims, Static, Base and Glint. Click joined separately after his initial batch died. The second batch of brothers were Storm, Rogue, Torch. Their other batchmates were reassigned after their first few postings. They're a small team, just them and their Jedi (then later, also, their Padawan), so no big ship or thousands of troopers- just a smaller elite squad.

Here's the squad anyway:

Commander: Seven

Sev is firm but fair. He was in a relationship with their Jedi prior to his death. It was well known amongst their squad but not outside of it. They all kept the secret. Seven is a good soldier and a better leader. He cares deeply for all of his brothers. He was the clear leader out of his batchmates and was always fascinated by the Jedi. His fascination led to a desire to work harder to be at their side.

He got close to their Jedi over time, nights spent doing paperwork or days in the med bay together. Eventually his squad realised he was into him and started teasing him, which led to their Jedi finding out. They took some time navigating the power dynamics, but eventually settled. Seven was a father figure to their Padawan and tried to keep her out of trouble, especially trouble the vode tried to drag her into. Seven had many a grey hair from his brothers antics- both him and Stims were going grey and they commiserated together. Stims would often complain that he had it worse, since he also had to deal with Seven and their Jedi being insufferable lovebirds.

Sev dies protecting his squad, his Jedi and his padawan. Not that he succeeds, because his squad (bar two and the jedi padawan pair) all die.

Medic: Stims

Stims is harsh and blunt. He takes no shit and has no time for it. He is kind, deep down, but he hides behind his outward persona of Tired Grumpy Medic. He absolutely would die for his brothers and their general and padawan. He does everything he can for his brothers and takes their health very seriously. Even if that means throwing a ration bar at their head because they haven't eaten yet today, the whole time muttering angrily about the headache they're giving him. He's honestly a massive grumpy bastard, but he's their massive grumpy bastard who loves them.

He's one of the only survivors from the attack that kills his squad, but he's presumed dead- taken as a POW by the Separatists. When he's eventually found, his Jedi has left the order, his padawan is a criminal, and only his youngest squad mate survived. The medical care he managed to apply while dying himself saved a few of them.

Assistant Medic: Storm

Storm was softer than Stims. While Stims will throw a nutrient block at your head, Storm would hand it to you and give you a short lecture- threatening to tell Stims if you don't get everything back in order. He was a regular trooper before he approached Stims asking for further med training. Stims was more than happy to have someone else to help out around the med bay. He would spoil their Padawan and got on best with the ""youngsters"" (himself, Torch and Rogue).

Demo Expert: Torch

Torch was... A little bit of chaos. He enjoyed explosions and fires and will take any opportunity to explode the clankers. He wanted to make a fire hot enough to melt the clankers. He was a bad influence on their Padawan along with Glint and Rogue. He'd make any excuse to start a fire or an explosion, often arguing for blowing a base up rather than leaving it to stand. He got drunk the easiest out of his brothers.

Stealth Expert: Rogue

Rogue was quieter but arguably the most feral of the bunch. When their general would get himself hurt doing force knows what to save their asses, he'd be the one curled up at the foot of the bed like a cat. He walked near silently and would frequently do so to scare his brothers. He was not above biting and would play dirty to win a fight. While his main skills lay in all things stealth, he was a heavy hitter and could absolutely handle the clankers. He always indulged their Padawan and would assist her with any pranks she wanted to pull. No questions asked.

Tech and Comms Expert: Static

Static buzzed constantly. Either he'd be making low grade chatter, constantly narrating his work under his breath, or his many tools would. He wasn't the most overly energetic, but when he was excited by something he would practically vibrate. He was more of a constant, low grade energy- like static on a TV screen, there and buzzing along constantly. He made the prosthetics for their Padawan and general, with the help of Click and Stims. He could hack into whatever they needed and could make whatever they needed with the help of Glint or Click. Ironically, Static was best friends with Stims because the medic said he gave him the least headaches.

Sniper and Weapons Expert: Click

Click could sometimes be rowdy and loud, despite being a sniper. On missions, he'd be serious and composed, the only sound you'd hear from him being the click of his blasters or mission critical information. Outside of missions? He was active, sometimes boisterous, and cared deeply for his family. He was one of the more tactile brothers and would often lean on the others or casually sling an arm around them. He was closest to Seven, Static and Stims. Often his work would coincide with the four of them so they naturally drifted close- despite him technically being one of the younger crew. Seven trusted him with difficult missions and would consult the trio whenever he needed advice. Click did however swear he hated children, and initially avoided their Padawan like the plague. He was a liar and they ended up getting on well- but he was more reserved around her. His voice is one of the deepest out of his squad, and when he wasn't overly excited it was fairly quiet- but full of emotion and well animated.

Heavy Weapons Unit: Base

Base was a little larger than your average clone trooper, always spending his time trying to get stronger and stronger. He wasn't the brightest bulb in the pack, but he was kind and loved his brothers. He doted on their Padawan, always willing to drop everything to help her. He's everyone's friend, always happy to help. Even if it was helping Torch set some recreational fires- though he was most often helping Glint or Stims and Storm. He did like to tease the shinies by scaring them with stories of their Jedi. One particular time when Hazard joined them, after Glint's death, he tried to scare the shiny by talking about how their general lost his arm. He also has what is widely considered the most ugly armour, since they all paint it themselves and Base isn't much of an artist.

Engineering Expert: Glint

The first to fall, Glint died prior to the mission that saw the entire squad wiped out. I wish I could say he died a hero's death, that he went down protecting his brothers like Base did, or Click, or Rogue, but he didn't. It was an unlucky shot, a stray blaster bolt catching him in the neck. There was nothing Stims could do, except heed his brother's last wishes. Glint couldn't talk, given he was rapidly losing oxygen and blood, but he held Stims hands and fixed him with such a fierce look- mouthing "look after them" desperately with tears in his eyes. Before his death, he would indulge their Padawan's every whim and was fiercely protective of his brothers. If Seven or Stims wasn't free to mediate a problem, he'd be the one.

After Glint died he was replaced by Hazard. Hazard is my partner's OC (<3). He's the only other survivor other than Stims.

Do you think during the siege of Mandalore children saw Captain Rex and looked upon him in awe before their parents told them he was a clone?

Do you think they saw the Jaig eyes and, knowing what it meant, believed they were safe now?

Do you think their parents felt angry at the clones for taking parts of their heritage? Do you think the Nite Owls whispered hatred when Rex wasn't around to hear, that he- a clone, not a real mandalorian- was awarded Jaig eyes when they weren't? Do you think they wondered what he did to earn them? Do you think they believed he didn't?

Or do you think that, seeing the clones' courage during the siege, the mandalorians believed they deserved beskar? Do you think that they were angry at the republic for putting Verde in plastoid armour instead of the beskar'gam they so obviously deserved? How many clones were adopted into mandalorian families after the siege? How many people saw them fight, saw their mandokarla and wanted them in their allit ? How many clones fled to Mandalore post order 66, hoping the offers of adoption were still on the table or hoping that their new families really meant it? (How many of them were congratulated on killing jetti, only to be overtaken by guilt? How many of them asked their allit never to mention it?)

How many clones earned Jaig eyes just like Rex? How much did it matter to them, to be in some way connected to their heritage? Do you think any of them ever wished they were 'proper' mandalorians?

The clones deserve so much better and I will die on this hill

(also I headcannon that the clones sound like they do in the Clone Wars show but Jango and Boba sound like they do in the movies- like the clones lost their accent too as they strayed further from their donor)

CySova animatic exploring first impressions. The song comes from a full playlist I have for these two. This is the third song that goes into the analysis of Sova's view towards Cypher and the foil they are to each other (Sova works to be somebody and Cypher works to be nobody.) It's not until a moment of vulnerability will Sova question his initial views.

AAAAAAAA this is so good

Gods I have such a good idea for a Cyphmen/Shadowwire animatic to the song The Darker The Weather // The Better The Man but I do not have the time to animate 3:47 mins

Heavily debating just trying to anyway but at minimum I'm thinking of telling people the plan. It might be cool to do a Collab with some other Cypher Omen fans for it

So uhhh let me know if you're interested I guess?? Either in seeing or helping
