based off of this post, I now wanna write an au where Satine lives and joins the rebellion and Obi-Wan spends a decade or so wishing he could join the rebellion, but instead he has to stay in hiding and watch over Luke.

But then Satine sends a transmission that she needs his help, and she uses R2-D2 to do so because she knows it's a droid Obi-Wan would be familiar with, and Obi-Wan is not sure if he can leave Luke. He goes to check on Luke only to find that! Oh no! The Empire found his aunt and uncle and burned their house down! Fortunately, fourteen-year-old Luke was at Toche's station picking up power converters, so he didn't get destroyed with his aunt and uncle.

Obi-Wan then decides that Tatooine isn't safe for himself and Luke, so they join the Rebellion together.

The A plot of this fic would then be Obi-Wan Kenobi and Duchess Satine Kryze Actually Have a Chance At A Relationship And It's The Entire Rebellion's Favorite Point Of Gossip.

The B plot? Luke Skywalker being fourteen whole years old and becoming friends with Leia and Ezra and Sabine and later Wedge Antilles and the Shenanigans they get into, with Obi-Wan spending all his spare time trying to keep Luke from realizing he and Leia and Darth Vader are related.
