show me through the longest way home

to have the courage to take falls again after fine flights and vice versa. once, twice, thrice, and so on, when “now” is no longer as brilliant as it used to be, a fear that might never be gone completely. to simply keep holding the torch, dying ember or blazing flame, even when it burns one’s hand, whether that courage is for one’s selfish self or for one’s love of others. the lasting scars are never shown, yet the small fleeting light trails for as long as one can remember.
