hello! i really love the way you write and wanted to ask what your rules are when it comes to requests? thank you and have a good day! sending you all my love ♡
hi!! thank you for the lovely message!
these rules are going to be a little vague so i apologize in advance <3
more generally, that's all i'm asking for but i'll lyk if anything changes!
i also just wanna say that i mostly write for steve! you can send in eddie requests to see if something miraculously strikes my fancy, but i don't have a good grasp on his character, so i don't feel the most comfortable writing him yet. so sorry!
once again, thanks for the ask! i hope to see your request soon <333
Gravel crunches under the tires of Steve’s car as he pulls into the parking lot of the Red Key Tavern, a dingy bar in Indianapolis. After an hour and a half of being crammed into the backseat, his slew of kids wasted no time in pouring out of the car, moaning and groaning and lamenting limbs that had fallen asleep. Ducking out of the driver’s seat, Steve props an elbow on the roof and surveys the joint bathed in red neon. “Dude, are you even old enough to get in here?”
Can you do a fluff Steve Harrington request set before season 3 where his girlfriend works at a summer day camp while he works at Scoops and he basically get jealous of a 5-year-old who calls her his wife when he picks her up from work one day? Because I do in fact think he’s fight with a child for his love
1.1k for u anon! it's short and i don't really like it but i was tired of it sitting in google docs

Steve was sweaty.
A heat wave had struck Hawkins, and the mall had basically been bum-rushed by the town’s entire population because it was one of the few places guaranteed to have cold air pumping out of the ventilation system. But somehow the overflow of bodies condensed into one neon-lit sanctuary seemed to counteract any air conditioning, so it was humid and gross in the mall, and he’d been scooping ice cream for hours, so he was vaguely damp all over when he got into his car after his shift. With his car’s A/C cranked and his head rested back on the seat, he closed his eyes and sighed, feeling like he could finally exhale for the first time in hours.
In the midst of his decompression, a thought poked at his brain, and his eyes shot open to look at the time. 4:27. You got off work at 5:00, and it was about a twenty minute ride to the public pool across town, but he didn’t mind waiting those last ten minutes. So, he put the car in gear and set off.
“Can I come over early?”
The handset is tucked between Steve’s ear and shoulder as he finishes categorizing the returned tapes. Despite a rocky start, he’s rather good at his job at Family Video, so his dexterous fingers sort through the tapes quickly and without much extraneous thought, allowing for most of his brain space to be occupied by you.
Hunched over your kitchen counter, you hold the phone in one hand and snag a grape with the other. “I mean, yeah, you can, but I can’t promise I’ll be fun ‘cuz I have to get ready.”
“I think you’re fun all the time.”
“Suck-up,” you tease, munching on the grape with a grin that says that you don’t mind the praise at all.

Balmy wind breezes through the open car window, the rounded lip of the glass digging into the flesh of your arm. Your hand hangs limp out in the night that rushes past, and your listless fingers comb through the air.
State Road 37 is empty at this time of night. Speed limit is 70, but he’s going 85. The constant susurration of cicadas is drowned out by the hum of the car, and the lonely headlights of Steve’s BMW remain the only thing breaking the impenetrable night, sweeping past fields of corn and soybeans.
hiii i am in the worst steve harrington brain rot atm and i absolutely enjoyed your fic omg; i love the tension, the intensity of the emotions? holy crap fifjdj if you ever decide to write more i would definitely read it!
hello dearest anon im so so glad u enjoyed slow going and more stuff is on the way but for now you should check out the prequel running the red :)
The tinkling of chimes alerted Steve to the presence of a new patron in Family Video. It had been a long evening of little action, no hordes of teenage boys wreaking havoc or families perusing for weekly movie nights. Likely it was due to the massive storm that had rolled in, rain pouring down in sheets and thunder that seemed to shake the foundations. June rain always came heavy like Genesis and rebirth in Hawkins. But the town was unfortunately unable to boast of the most state of the art infrastructure, and driving on those roads in this kind of weather was a perilous task that few braved. Steve was not excited to drive home at the end of his shift in an hour if this kind of weather persisted, but he didn’t mind the lack of customers; it offered some peace and quiet to log rentals and categorize incoming tapes.
The sound of the door opening drew his attention away from the computer, ready to launch into his corporate-mandated greeting, but the words died in his throat at the sight of a long-time friend and short-term stranger dripping on the store’s welcome mat.
