This art installation was created by Miroslav Menschenkind using plush animals. Unfortunately his website is gone or offline, but you can see more photos from the art installation at Spiegel - like the dead Teletubbies (photo #6) here.
Why do people find dead stuffed animals horrible? Because they are reminiscent of classic slaughterhouses. I want to start a thought process. The people should realize that the dead animal was once in the pasture or in the stable. Meat is a commodity and most people don't realize that anymore. And it's crazy if I trigger more reactions on Facebook with my teddy slaughter than the factory farming.
Miroslav Menschenkind exhibits regularly at the Xpon-Art Gallery in Hamburg. Many people think his campaign is great, but cuddly toy lovers less so. He was downright hostile to them on Facebook. Mankind had Ernie and Bert and other cuddly toys packaged as fillets sealed in a butcher's shop.

This creation, titled “the Rib Blouse”, is by Japanese photographer TRMN. The Japanese to English translation is really poor, but it look like this art piece is made out of leather and ribbons.

For those into avant-garde fashion, this ‘rib-cage’ top should command your immediate attention. It was originally designed by Japanese illustrator Tetzco for a collection of illustrations he called ‘Internal Organ Neurosis’.
The drawings incorporated bones, muscles, internal organs, blood vessels and various other body parts to produce some ingenious and rather out-of-this-world clothing.
They, in turn, inspired a Japanese photographer who goes by the moniker TRMN. She took it upon herself to transform one of Tetzco’s illustrations, titled Rib Blouse, into an anatomical reality.

What is in Germany, owned and operated by a vegetarian, and the place to buy a smoked ham pillow? The Aufschnitt Textile Butchery.
What appears to be meat is in fact a collection of pillows, lifestyle products and home accessories, concepted and created by owner Silvia Wald. Those who enter the store – the world’s first textile butchery – may be further surprised to discover that Wald is a vegetarian, a fact which lies at the heart of Aufschnitt’s philosophy of representation, humor and tactility.
