Sandra wrote about the Lip Eye Video:

Redo the lip eye. Mostly just to show how I did. Was a little different compared to last time because I tried to make the iris a little bigger. However, it got better with the smaller one. So you can think of that if you try to do it yourself :)
I redid the lip eye. Mostly just to show how I did . Turned out a little different compared to last time because I tested to make the iris a little bigger. However, the smaller iris looked better. So you can keep that in mind if you try to do it yourself :)

DIY Halloween Yarn Veins with a Zombie Bite

For one of the sickest FX makeup Instagram accounts, follow @powdah!

A photo posted by Marc Clancy on Instagram (@powdah) on Jan 1, 2015 at 9:54pm PST. From Mark Clancy (@powdah):

TIP: Here’s an easy way to make veins using red cotton or wool. This technique has been around for many years but I’ve never seen anyone use it directly on skin. Pull some red wool apart so you see the individual fibers. Stick them down to your skin with prosaide or latex. Use a needle to adjust the shape while the glue is still wet. I made a quick infected zombie bite using this technique but you could use it anywhere.

Creating Veins with Wool

Remember when I posted this here? A zombie bitten hand? I was browsing  @powdah Instagram feed and found I had missed this video showing how to make DIY veins with wool here.

Gluing down wool or yarn is an easy way to create veins and capillaries in your makeups. You can use this as an effect on it's own or as part of something else such as a zombie bite.

 Materials:

  • Wool or yarn
  • Prosaide
  • Cotton buds
  • Scissors
  • Skin illustrator
