here's the thing about me and smut. i don't read about my favs fucking every night before i go to sleep because it gets me off. i do it because it's soothing. no matter how shitty things are, i can go to this little bubble where everything is safe and perfect. i don't know when it became a foundational coping mechanism for me, but it is now.
