I like to believe that for Tommy, it was love at first sight.
Tommy fell first, Buck fell harder.
I like to believe that for Tommy, it was love at first sight.
Tommy fell first, Buck fell harder.
Every time Buck and Tommy are on my screen it’s a movie. I love these little romcom featurettes on the weewoo show about an adorable and hilarious pair that is apparently falling in love with one another right before my very eyes.
What do you mean Tommy just likes looking at Buck
What do you mean Tommy just gets all giggly when Buck looks back at him
What do you mean Buck teases Tommy when he catches his eyes on him
What do you mean Buck gets all blushy when Tommy flirts with him
What do you M E A N-
I do not think there is enough talk about craft beer enthusiast and mixologist dating.
Like hello??? Buck went to school for this shit. He knows beer types, the proper way to pour, he’s loaded with beer production facts, he knows what beers pair best with which foods and even the proper fucking glassware to use. He learned this!!!
Tommy will fuck him right on the counter over it.
The “on the bright side” is what sticks out to me the most. Are you saying Tommy is the sunshine in Buck’s currently stormy life?
Is Tommy becoming Buck’s new safe space going to be what strengthens their relationship?
Sorry to get serious for a sec but why do people keep implying that Buck is gonna learn things about Tommy that he doesn't like and it will hurt their relationship? Wasn't the entire theme of their relationship in season 7 about being honest with yourself, becoming your best self and accepting the existence of past and current flaws within themselves and each other? Is that not why Buck showed his ass in front of Tommy on two occasions which were both acknowledged and forgiven, and Tommy is able to openly admit when he's jealous and tell Buck he was in a regressive place and not a better person under Gerrard's command?
If they fight about anything I just feel like it won't be anything they don't know about each other. I think they laid everything out on the table and know each other's worst already and what to expect going forward...hence why they're going strong....
Idk lol tf do I know
In the spirit of positivity, how do you think Buck and Tommy say I love you for the first time? 🥰 Feel free to send this ask to others 💕
Hi! Tysm for the ask. Here, I wrote a silly little thing. I love first time I love you confessions! lol
It was a long, long day. Especially for Buck. Call after call after call and his body felt like a noodle.
Tommy had to help him up the stairs and ran him a bath so Buck wouldn't have to stand in the shower.
Buck said, probably, 3 or 4 words since Tommy picked him up from his shift.
The happy hums and nods would suffice, though. Tommy just wanted Buck to be okay.
After helping Buck into the bath and helping him dry off and helping him into his clothes, he then continued to help and got him into the bed.
Tommy lied down next to him, not nearly as exhausted, but tired enough to get a good night's rest next to Buck.
"Thank...you." Buck mumbled.
"Of course, Evan." He replied sweetly, slowly closing his eyes.
"Love you...so much."
Tommy's eyes sprang open, and he jumped up as Evan rolled over and immediately began to fall asleep.
"N-n-n-n-no, Evan? Evan. Wake up for a second, sweetheart. What'd you just say?"
"Mmh."
"Evan? Baby, look at me. Just for one sec. I just wanna know what you said."
"I said..." Buck went silent again, letting out a loud snore.
"Evan." Tommy said his name insistently, nudging him gently.
"The boxes...check all the boxes."
"What boxes? Evan, what are you talking about?"
"The prize...the cereal."
Clearly Buck was so exhausted he was mumbling nonsense. Maybe the "I love you" was nonsense too, Tommy relented and laid back down.
Maybe he'd be able to ask him in the morning.
Tommy found himself wide awake now, thinking about Buck's words.
Minutes later, he felt Buck shift and grab onto him, so he lovingly pulled him into his embrace and kissed the top of his head.
"I said...I love you." Buck mumbled against Tommy's chest.
"Are you sure you're not just talking in your sleep?" Tommy asked.
"Sleepy...but love you."
Tommy smiled. "I love you too. I always will."
Silence returned again. Tommy could feel Buck starting to drool on his bare chest and he sighed, but only held Buck tighter.
This is what love is all about, right?
Buck: thoughtful little monologue about what he’s ready for and how what he’s ready for is something that could be with Tommy
Tommy: [internal microwave noise] well obviously I am in like with you
There's a very cartoonish scenario that keeps playing out in my head where bucktommy and madney keep trying to go on double dates but every time they get together there's an emergency and they all have to help somehow
And during one of their dates at a restaurant, the camera cuts to an emergency behind them (a fire), then cuts back to them looking so disappointed and annoyed, then cuts to the emergency again and then cuts back to them, and they're all conveniently, without any explanation, now suited up and prepared to help with the emergency lmao like buck, tommy and chim are in turnouts and Maddie has her dispatcher uniform and headset on and they all look so exhausted lol
What if Buck did get to buy Tommy that beer and they really hit it off and agreed to hang out again.
So they hang out a few more times and Buck, being hopeless and unaware, doesn’t realize that he hangs out with Tommy differently from the ways he hangs out with his other friends.
They go to the movies, they go for walks on the beach, Tommy makes dinner reservations for them, they text a lot and spend hours on the phone, Tommy takes Buck for helicopter rides just because…
But during one of these sunset helicopter rides, Buck has a passing thought about how romantic this is
and he’s like…wait…
So he looks back at all the times they’ve spent together and he realizes he might have feelings for this man.
He turns to Tommy and asks him if he wants to go out on a date, while also apologizing in case he had the wrong idea.
Meanwhile poor Tommy’s confused because he thought they were already dating the entire time lol
I had some fun in my little mind space imagining the possibility that Tommy already knew of Buck and was lowkey starstruck when he met him.
Chim was like “this is—“ only to be cut off by Tommy saying “Evan Buckley, struck by lightning and died for 3 minutes then came back to life to tell the tale.” And puts out a hand for Buck’s.
Buck knows word travels around and he’s amazed that this super cool pilot who agreed to fly them into a hurricane knows his lore and Buck just never tells him “call me Buck” and is fine with this really cool guy who made him feel like a celebrity for a sec calling him Evan.
Also it kinda explains why Buck was able to casually bring up being struck by lightning as a point of reference and Tommy was more shocked by Buck meeting an ex in a helicopter crash than him being fucking struck by lightning lol
Tommy fact checks things with Buck instead of using Google. Buck has dozens of “is this real” and “is this true” texts from Tommy and he almost always knows the answer.
And if Buck doesn’t know the answer, he won’t stop until he finds out.
Does anyone else find it really cute that Buck realized his feelings for Tommy while he was trying to cheer him up? Tommy didn’t feel like he was part of the 118’s family experience and Buck made sure he knew he was and how amazing he was.
Everything he told Tommy was sincere and sweet and I get where Tommy was coming from too because if someone is nice to me I also want to kiss them on the mouth
Sorry to be in disk horse again but I saw a tweet where someone predicted Eddie possibly getting injured next season and leaving Tommy behind to run to Eddie’s side and conveniently not giving a fuck about Tommy anymore.
Not stating the obvious. We know Tommy is Eddie’s friend so he would care about Eddie too. But also.
Why do people insist that Buck’s heart is so small that he will toss one person to the side to prioritize another. The entire series has shown how he is capable of loving everyone in his life with his whole heart and never easily making the decision to let people go. Buck wants the same thing from everyone in his life. He wants everyone to stay.
Buck has such a big heart. He doesn’t just throw people away like old toys. He loves and he loves and he loves.
Tommy would be a fucking terrible spy anyway
He'd be doing a lot of suspicious things and Buck would hit him with "is there someone else? 🥺 do you not like me anymore? 🥺" and Tommy would immediately fold and blow his own cover
Nothing's getting past Evan's 🥺
"I'm so confused, can you start over?" and "Are we still talking about cake?" one brain cell relationship my beloved
lol that “shovel talk” conversation was so on brand as a Hen and Tommy interaction. Karen being part of it made it even more enjoyable.
Hen has been giving Tommy shit for years. Remember when he tried to make a bet (on credit) and she told him she was gonna eat his lunch and she was the one who pushed his face into his cake?
That’s her old friend and that’s clearly how they get along. If she didn’t trust him or something, she could just tell him to stay the hell away from Buck.
