Situation is getting more dire over at twitter, so I guess it’s about time I post about what I’m going to start posting/reblogging about here in the future.

I kinda enjoyed my small bubble over at twitter, just tweeting about whatever I was watching, playing, reading, or painting. Despite my user name that I made a long time ago (almost 10 yrs I think 😳), I’m really not all that invested in otome games anymore. I’m happier posting about literally anything without any expectation, which is why I took a break from tumblr. (Not to mention that there’s a bunch of new functions/buttons on here that I don’t know how to use since the last time I was on here)

I think just so that I don’t lose my sense of online community, I’ll continue to post whatever interests me here, but please note that my interests are broad, so this will turn into a personal space for me. I don’t imagine myself trying to create much of anything for any fandom anymore, I prefer enjoying what other people are making from sidelines. I have enough on my plate irl, everything from a full-time job, building a portfolio for grad school, to living in the red-ass state of Florida (yes, it sucks).

I might occasionally post my experiences enjoying movies/tv, painting, and enemies-to-lovers excellence, but yeah, that’s all I got for now. 🙂

This is a good time to remind y’all that I’m also on twitter and I’m significantly more active there. While I’ve never particularly been a n-s-f-w blog here, I’m constantly tortured by thirst and what’s the point of blogging here with staff trying to oppress women and sexuality?

Occasionally I write meta/reviews on blogger as well, so check that out if you haven’t already.

Haven’t posted in a while, but let me just say if you follow me and are an active “ant*” reylo, please unfollow me. I don’t care if you dislike the ship, but I won’t tolerate seeing bullshit like saying reylos don’t care about Rey, or any other SW character for that matter, and that they only want to fuck Kylo/Adam Driver.

I ain’t here for shaming women and their sexual preferences, let alone telling us what parts of fiction we’re “allowed” to enjoy.

Star Wars Episode IX Predictions and Theories Meta: Part 1

I’d like to start out by thanking @ohtze and @ashesforfoxes for inspiring me to write this lengthy piece. Thank you for all your insight and time you give to the Star Wars fandom!

For this particular post, I will be delivering my predictions / crack theories for Star Wars Episode IX. I’m super excited for this film already, even though I writhe in agony whenever I think about the two-year-long wait ahead of us. And it might still be a little too early to start theorizing about what could potentially happen in IX, but at the same time it’s also the perfect opportunity to develop these crazy theories before they get violently shut down by Lucasfilm and by the people working on the sequel trilogy. 

Plus, The Last Jedi just became the biggest movie in 2017, having the biggest box office numbers in the year. So for all the crazy whining by fanboys and anti-reylos screaming about how Disney ruined Star Wars, they are all screaming into an empty void. Disney DOES NOT care about your petty tears because they’ve got their money, and JJ Abbrams has already finished writing the script (at least the first draft has already been submitted) for Episode IX. Essentially the audience reaction has little to absolutely no impact on the development of the story, regardless of whether or not you enjoyed TLJ. 

Soon Lucasfilm will start filming in the summer of 2018 (this summer omfg), and we’re already getting some exciting news about IX. The code name for IX is Black Diamond, and granted, the code name has no apparent giveaway to the plot, and if there is, it’s very vague. Apart from that, they’ll also be filming in Argyll, Scotland this summer, so we’ll have that to look forward to.

Now we have to ask ourselves, how will JJ finish this trilogy’s epic conclusion? The short answer, besides getting an obvious resolution of a sort, is happiness. Episode IX will undoubtedly have a happy ending (specifically with reylo), especially when Star Wars has always been about sending messages of hope. Additionally, we have to remember that Star Wars is ultimately a franchise for kids; George Lucas has firmly admitted that he created Star Wars for 12-year-olds, and Disney and Lucasfilm agree with that sentiment. They’re not going to give audiences an unsatisfactory tragic ending.

Bearing the inevitable happy ending we’ll see in IX, this meta will be broken down into several parts because I’ll be explaining all my theories EXTENSIVELY, and as I’m writing these separate posts, I’ll provide links for all the parts, but for now here are my predictions in Part One of this meta:

WARNING: This meta/predictions list is quite long and contains TLJ spoilers. Additionally, given what happened after TLJ, we should take the film as an important lesson as to how you shouldn’t expect your headcanons to actually play out in canon. Have fun theorizing, but do it with caution.

Random TLJ thought, but I find it very interesting and clever that early on when Luke asks Rey, “Where’s Han?”, the next shot immediately cuts to Kylo/Ben.

Then later in that scene with Snoke and Kylo, Snoke demeans Kylo by saying something along the lines of Kylo still having his father’s heart.

Then near the end of the film when Luke confronts Ben, Luke tells him how he would always be with him, just like his father. Then his final words, which are to Ben, are clearly something Han would say, “See ya around, kid.” This clearly shakes Ben.

Soon afterwards, Ben finds Han’s dice, and while they physically disappear, Han’s presence does not. For as hard as Ben tries to eliminate the physical manifestations of his past, the past will always be a part of him; it will never leave him, just like Han.

...because of this, the Star Wars tags that I regularly check are starting to share the leaks, and they contain some MEATY spoilers from what I’ve glimpsed. I’m doing my best to avoid them because I want to be surprised to the brink of death when I see the film next week, so I’m going to log off until the 15th. I’d like to apologize for not posting much lately. I’m very busy with irl stuff and things, not to mention that I live in Florida and I’m sure everyone has heard about Hurricane Matthew (don’t worry, I’m safe; the hurricane was more offshore than originally predicted). 

Nonetheless, I have to reschedule pretty much everything in my life, so I’m not too sure how active I’ll be on here (I’m always on twitter though!). Let’s just say I’m on a semi-hiatus. Of course, if there’s major news/CGs to post, I’ll be sure to update this blog.

I’m not going to beat around the bush, so let me be as blatant as possible because I’m only going to address this issue once.

I do not hate anyone, including Design Factory, for trying to replicate Kazuki Yone’s style and using it for their art. Not once have I said anything like that on here. 

In fact, here’s a link to an amazing artist on deviantart who uses her style.

But again, the internet, especially tumblr, has a fun time making false assumptions about people they don’t know, so I’m done writing about this particular problem.

Next. I criticize Design Factory’s art. That is not the same thing as hating them. I use hyperboles and often exaggerate for comedic effect, but nonetheless I don’t hate Design Factory for drawing Yone’s style. Moving on. So why do I criticize Design Factory and why am I so harsh on them?

Maybe because Design Factory has proven multiple times that they can draw fantastic Yone-like illustrations and market themselves as being as good as Yone. And yet I’m angry with them because despite reaching that milestone, their art constantly fluctuates. Their consistency issues are why I’m disappointed with them. How could I not be mad when they draw amazing stuff like this: 

And then put out crap like this in the same game? (technically this CG is from the sequel to the poster above, but nonetheless, these games weren’t even made a full year apart)

And yet despite all this and my criticisms toward them, I don’t hate Design Factory.
