Sick of the very obvious pattern on this website where people will rb nebulous “free Palestine!!” posts then proceed to ignore fundraisers, start discourse about the fundraisers being scams, pretend like seeing fundraisers on their dash is the most inconvenient thing to have ever happened to them. Like . Not that it shouldn’t be obvious, but it’s extremely suspect when you’re all for the concept of Palestinian liberation but then act like it’s an impossible request when you’re asked to apply that into tangible effort to help struggling Palestinian families evacuate and afford literal basics you take for granted

Truly asking you guys to push back against this by donating to and sharing Hazem’s fundraiser. This is another fundraiser that has been stalling for so long, despite the fact that Hazem’s siblings are all children stuck in Jabalia camp right now, alongside his parents. Part of me thinks this is because people think they’re entitled to graphic images of his and his family’s trauma in order to find it in themselves to care. That has never been and should never be a prerequisite. These are real human beings, who have dreams, fears, and futures same as you. They don’t deserve to live any less than you do, nor should you be a voyeur of their suffering. You should share and donate because it’s the right thing to do. Please donate. Please spread this so other people can as well.

ive been following a young man from gaza (medo halimy) on instagram since the beginning of the war. he made amazing videos despite being consistently displaced, throughout all the turmoil and throughout the loss of his family members... for a while now he's been vlogging about planting different herbs in his tent near the sea where he was displaced and trying to cook with them, and he uploaded a new video yesterday to show us how his plants were getting along. after that he was killed by an airstrike at the beach where he was sitting with his friend. now i can't stop thinking about all those plants he grew during a genocide for his family to eat. the plants are still alive but he isn't.

It’s entirely inappropriate that Hani’s fundraiser has been stalled ~20k away from its goal for months now. I don’t mean to be so aggressive, but it actually makes me so resentful when I start thinking of the fact that ao3 fundraisers w triple that goal reached it in days. I know that Hani has done everything from showing proof of authenticity, to going into his family’s strife in detail, to even providing pictures—something he absolutely does not have to do. Ignoring that and allowing the campaign to stagnate entirely is so cold. Please share and donate what you can. Clearly no one else has been.
