Where do you publish your work?
tumblr, ao3 and ffn for arrow (and one spn fic featuring samelia) and mnff, ffn and lj for harry potter.
What medium/application/etc. do you write in or with?
word, always. if I’m writing on my phone, it’ll be in google docs, and before that it was in my hotmail app, lol.
Do you collaborate with others?
I’m actually a bit too scared to work with other people and maybe I’m too precious about my characters and ideas to share. /carole
this is true. I’ve talked about collaborating with people before (@wondertwinc and I were going to write something featuring black assassin, with me writing the smut and ched writing other parts, lol) but it hasn’t happened yet. I would love to one day, though.
How much editing do you do before you publish?
I used to be so good at this. I used to read over my fic a number of times to find typos and so on, but nowadays I don’t really bother with that, which is not good, lol. mostly I just publish straightaway and edit as I write, like you, croll. but I sometimes go back if I realise I made a glaring error - like, in precious (nsfw), I realised I made a slight grammatical error in the arabic, and that was something I wanted to get right so I went back and corrected.
Do you listen to music when you write?
yes, always. I have a general writing playlist and also a smut playlist (lol) and playlists for specific pairings. I might share them someday but just to give you an idea - for gen fics that kind of look at the heroic aspect of the show, I listen to songs like heroes (janelle monae cover), hero (mariah carey), I see fire (ed sheeran), fight song (rachel platten), etc. my smut playlist, meanwhile, has songs like kiss me (ed sheeran), blank space (taylor swift), love me like you do (ellie goulding), etc.
How do you decide what to write about?
it’s usually after an episode has aired. often I have a problem with how something was resolved on the show, and lately my fics have been canon fixits or missing scenes from episodes. but I also find that after rewatching an ep or maybe watching a fanvid, I get an idea. for instance - my black assassin soulmates fic was totally inspired by this video (nsfwish) by ched. alternatively it might be a gifset or a song that suddenly screams a certain pairing or whatever.
at night when I can’t sleep - lmao. also on the train and the bus (and other public places) I tend to write the most smut. don’t judge :P
I binge write. I am currently going through a writing binge but I suspect I’ll lose energy at some point and/or have to deal with uni things too. that can mean not writing anything for two weeks or more. mind you, I had a totally dry spell for about two years, so I mean - it goes up and down, really.
Do you take requests? why/why not?
kind of? I’ll consider prompts, and when I got to a certain follower milestone I remember opening up my inbox for prompts. (I think I still have a few there, though - oops.) some of my favourite stories that I’ve written have come from prompts, in fact. but there’s no guarantee that your prompt will be filled, which tbh holds true for most writers.
Is there any genre or type of story you want to write but are hesitant to?
ahhh. well. I have had this headcanon about laurel and oliver when they were younger (and ollie hadn’t fucked things up nearly as much) and I have had ollie talk about it in an olicity fic, but given I don’t think I have any l/o fans in my readership (I have a few l/o shippers who follow me, though, so hit me up if you want me to tag you if I do write anything :) ) I’m not sure if it’ll be well-received because I’m well aware most of the people who read my fic don’t ship them. but hey. maybe one day :)
also I would love to write poi fanfic but I am hoping I don’t get sucked in like I did with arrow, lol.
Any inspirational quotes, videos, tricks, articles, etc. that help you stay motivated?
not really? if I want to motivate myself, I find the best way of doing that is by getting away from distractions. maybe that’s why I write most when I’m on the train. my mobile internet is limited and is pretty crappy anyway because I don’t get much service on the train, so I find my head is a lot clearer that way.

On earth-2, for instance, Laurel Lance is a public defender who decides to go for martial arts lessons after having a close call at Iron Heights with a couple of corrupt cops. (Apparently there's only so much you can do with a police-style baton when against actual police. Unfortunately for her, Laurel learns this the painful way.)
