tolerance. patience. not sitting in judgment. those are some of the fundamentals of islam that I practice. frankly, being gay has taught me to be a better muslim.

happy pride to all my fellow lesbians!
#dinah laurel lance clearly has a type #her type is a person who sets out to change and be better #and proves it to her #the kind of person who was good to her #just not necessarily from the beginning #but after everything was said and done they ended up being more than worthy of her love #(not that laurel was perfect herself in her relationships with them #she wasn’t #she lied to them both but also apologised profusely to them both #earned their forgiveness as much as they earned hers) #she was ride or die for them both #her type is the kind of person who she can tease at dinner #who she feels safe walking side by side next to in a dark alley because she trusts them #the kind she’ll also flirt with in an alleyway because why the hell not #the kind who will blame herself the second she comes even close to losing them #I love my bicon laurel lance #and the love of her life tommy merlyn #and her soulmate nyssa al ghul #you can pry these ships from my cold dead hands #happy pride y’all :)

a tribute to my favourite ladies in the flarrowverse, all who I know love women just as much as I do - even when canon doesn’t want to show it (◔_◔).
happy pride month! :)
@mizbrieonacracker replied to your post “Hey dear I saw u reblogged that post about pride and I want to send...”
Of course! And it’s perfectly ok to never be there too. I know from experience that it can feel alienating during pride, like you’ll never have that... but being out n prideful doesn’t necessarily mean ur out to everyone. My parents KNOW but we all ignore it and that’s just the way it is. And I’ll never be out to my current employers & some of my coworkers. I just really want to make sure u feel loved n supported and know that pride comes from within, not from parades or public displays...

if I could, my friend, I would stick those words on my fridge, because they are words to live by. thank you. and you’re right. being out doesn’t mean being out to everyone. we can all choose who we trust with our identities. <3
