i can’t believe i have to say this but because some of y’all are being fucking demons: the dctv actors and actresses can say whatever they want about this whenever they want to say, and you don’t get to fucking police it
if you’re out there saying “but everybody knew, why weren’t our favs saying anything back then?” maybe because they were victims, sharon. or because they tried and were shut down. maybe they just really didn’t know.
i applaud ebr and caity lotz for their statements. (i’m even a little pleased with miss benwa’s eloquence, but she’s on think fucking ice as far as i’m concerned). i think they were brave, and i’m glad they felt safe enough to speak their minds. however, not every dctv actor feels that level of safety yet, and that’s okay. some actors are waiting to collect their thoughts, and some might not say anything at all. everyone copes differently, and you have to accept how your fav copes.
continuing on, you have to let people come to terms with what’s happening at their own rate. please stop saying it’s hypocritical that people are only speaking out now. please stop saying that everyone needs to speak out immediately. please stop saying that anyone who hasn’t spoken out yet is harming people, because they’re not. that’s transparent victim blaming. only the abusers can harm.
