God the thing woth laurel is ridiculous. Like she is brilliant. She knows it, oliver knows it. Felicity knows it. She doesn't get in the way of shipping and people should just be fucking grateful we get awesome female superheroes because they are a rare thing played well and laruel lance deserves better
Look, I completely understand that there are a lot of people who don’t identify with her character or enjoy it. But we’re so long past the point where this sort of vicious hatred should still be going strong. It started because people conceived her as a threat to olicity (at least for most it started that way) and so people found any reason to hate her more.
Add to that that the writing for her has been incredibly uneven, and I get that there are people who aren’t fans. But yes. I feel like at this point, her character is really thriving, she’s an asset to the team, she’s everyone’s friend, she’s kind, she’s caring. And overall I’m just incredibly done with this endless narrative of killing women to further plot. It’s not furthering anything, it’s just pissing people off.
My main beef is with the gleeful attitude so many seem to have about it. Whatever. I’m really over most of the fandom at this point as well, so “para-para” as we say in Hebrew.
