good god. being in this level of pain on a monday no less is just. horrible. and here I was thinking my pain had subsided a bit - at least for two weeks I wasn't complaining about it as much as usual. but now it's back, as is my period, and slowly but surely I am dying.
@canarycry-ing: im so sorry mlna :( i wish there was something i could do
aww that’s sweet of you, sunny :) unfortunately this is just my life now lmao and I mean. I am taking painkillers. that have helped a lil bit. as well as a hot water bottle. fingers crossed this will pass.

I fucking hate how I have to just endure this unbearable pain each month and my gyno just does not give a shit? or want to investigate further? (tmi under the cut)
@benhargrieves replied to your post “doesn't every uterus wielder just loooove the start of a period and...”
Oh “uterus wielders currently dying rn” twins! Hate that for us!
ah that sucks! for both of us haha. I’d very much prefer we go back to being salt twins, but I feel like I might be bedridden for the next few days bc I can’t do anything rn which is just. not fun. tho i am watching the x files for teh first time, so there’s that :)
hope you feel better soon janie!
doesn't every uterus wielder just loooove the start of a period and the avalanche of pain that comes with it even after burning thru 3 heat pads and a hot water bottle? oh and fucking RECTAL pain relief that doesn't give me any relief??
okay so. I've been meaning to sit down and note down how therapy has been going since I started over a month ago. under the cut because it gets long.
if anyone wanted an update on my uterus situation -
okay so. I went to a gynaecologist today, different one from the private bitch from last time who discharged me and dismissed my problems. this one was with the nhs and he actually took me seriously. I explained my symptoms and he said it sounded like retrograde menstruation which may actually be the cause of endometriosis. he said to take some kind of acid that should reduce the flow of my periods. in the long term he said that it would be good to get an mri done on my pelvis and he is arranging that.
bonus - he said my pain is definitely gynaecological. so maybe I have hope after all.
This is actually so messed up…Making African women use substandard hygiene products is absolutely ridiculous
People are mad about them taking the female symbol off the package but are silent about this.
okay so for an update on all things tmi - I was having a lot of pelvic pain once I started the pill. like it's been here and there before I was on the pill and since I started taking it, that pain had intensified. it was still intermittent tho so it was only yesterday I called my doc. I was supposed to have my period last week but as I think I mentioned it was just a couple drops of blood, not a proper period.
she has now referred me to a gynaecologist - she said that hormonal treatment is what a gynaecologist would start me on anyway so to try sticking out taking the pill if I can manage it. am going to see how it goes for two more days.
in the meantime I got the paperwork for a referral so I hope something will come of that. I'm a little freaked out bc I have a feeling they'll do an internal examination and I don't know if I can deal with the anxiety of that. but I will see what happens.
@sunwrayth replied to your post “okay, so, tmi but I kinda need to ask it. is it normal do you think...”
yeah when you start the pill that can happen because of the increase in hormones i think. it might be worse for the first month or so but if it doesn't improve after that you should probably talk to your doctor. not all pills are the same so sometimes it's possible that whatever you use doesn't work for your body, but i wouldn't worry unless it lasts longer. like not to scare you but when i started the pill I had the worst period I'd ever had but now it's totally fine
hey there! thanks for this. I’m on levest and I was literally put on it entirely to stop my periods hurting so much, so it was weird that it seemed counterproductive in that sense. but yeah, I will give it a month and see how things go. I will need to go back to see my doc in a month anyway so will mention any issues I have then.

like, started it for the first time ever? because ya it's probably gonna be weird/not like it usually is for a while? I wasn't on the pill but I'm on the hormonal coil and like, i had extra periods for a few months and now I have none, which isn't the same at all but basically what i'm saying it'll take a while for everything to even out?
yeah, I’ve never been on it before so this is totally new to me. but that’s good to know - will keep that in mind and see how this period goes. and I will probably cave in and take some painkillers so I don’t feel like I’m dying lmao
