#LULZ Last month, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was ordered to reveal the complete source code for the TOR exploit it used to hack visitors of the world’s largest dark web child pornography site, PlayPen. Robert J. Bryan, the federal judge, ordered the FBI to hand over the TOR browser exploit code so that defence could better understand how the agency hacked over 1,000 computers and if the evidence gathered was covered under the scope of the warrant. Now, the FBI is pushing back against the federal judge’s order. On Monday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI filed a sealed motion asking the judge to reconsider its ruling, saying revealing the exploit used to bypass the Tor Browser protections is not necessary for the defense and other cases. In previous filings, the defence has argued that the offensive operation used in the case was "gross misconduct by government and law enforcement agencies," and that the Network Investigative Technique (NIT) conducted additional functions beyond the scope of the warrant. The Network Investigative Technique or NIT is the FBI's terminology for a custom hacking tool designed to penetrate TOR users. This particular case concerns Jay Michaud, one of the accused from Vancouver, Washington, who was arrested in last year after the FBI seized a dark web child sex abuse site and ran it from agency’s own servers for the duration of 13 days. During this period, the FBI deployed an NIT tool against users who visited particular, child pornography threads, grabbing their real IP addresses among other details. This leads to the arrests of Michaud among others.The malware expert, Vlad Tsyrklevich held by the defense to analyse the NIT, said that it received only the parts of the NIT to analyse, but not sections that would ensure that the identifier attached to the suspect's NIT-infection was unique. "He is wrong," Special Agent Daniel Alfin writes. "Discovery of the 'exploit' would do nothing to help him determine if the government exceeded the scope of the warrant because it would explain how the NIT was deployed to Michaud's computer, not what it did once deployed. "In a separate case, the Tor Project has accused the FBI of paying Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) at least $1 Million to disclose the technique it had discovered that could help them unmask Tor users and reveal their IP addresses. Though, the FBI denies the claims.

What was going on was that the Pegasus pipeline, which carried Alabasca heavy crude oil (tar sands) from Illinois to Texas, had ruptured en route and the Jarrells' tiny town of Mayflower, Ark. had a river of oil flowing through its streets.

Jarrell has long blond hair and a voice hoarse from coughing. She told me last week that she'd been sharing her home with her daughter and four-month-old grandson, Logan, at the time of the spill. Their first concern was the child, but they couldn't decide what was best for him. 

Her daughter wanted to pack up the baby and leave, but Ann wasn’t sure what they should do. Her first instinct was to call the police. She did so, only to find a frustrating lack of answers.

"I asked, 'Do we need to evacuate?' They said, 'Do you have oil on your property?'" Jarrell remembered. When she told them there wasn't, and reported the smell, she says the answering officer was unmoved. She says he told her not to evacuate, and that the smell was the result of some sort of police containment situation. "'The smell's just so we can tell when it breaks,'" he told her. "'Just like they do with the natural gas line."

This is not true. No such mechanism existed for the pipeline.

Though 22 houses were evacuated, the Jarrells' ultimately wasn't. They live adjacent to those houses, right next to the cove that Exxon claimed insists was not affected by the spill.

A Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Greenpeace has found conclusive evidence from internal Exxon documents that they knew there was oil in the cove, and insisted the families did not need to be evacuated anyway. According to the documents, Exxon even hauled waste out of the cove right beside the Jarrells' home. Jarrell says Exxon workers were so close to her home that she could stand in her driveway and ask them if her family was safe. She says they assured her that her family was fine, and that the smell and the nausea would go away.

The UN Special Rapporteur for indigenous peoples has been urged to protect vulnerable uncontacted tribes in Peru, who could be decimated by contact with oil and gas workers.

Survival International has appealed to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights of indigenous peoples to help protect vulnerable uncontacted Indians from Peru’s aggressive pursuit of oil and gas development on their land – ahead of James Anaya’s visit to Peru.

The appeal is backed by nearly 130,000 Survival supporters who have urged Peru’s President to stop the invasion of uncontacted tribes’ land. Oil and gas projects already cover 75% of the Peruvian Amazon, putting foreign profits above Indian lives.

A consortium of companies led by Argentinian Pluspetrol is pushing for the expansion of the massive Camisea gas project in south-east Peru, which lies within a reserve for uncontacted and isolated tribes; and in northern Peru, Colombian-Canadian oil company Pacific Rubiales has begun seismic testing in an area known to be inhabited by uncontacted Indians.

Any oil and gas work on the land of uncontacted tribes puts the Indians’ lives at severe risk as they are exposed to diseases to which they have no immunity and which in the past have decimated entire tribes.

In March 2013, the UN Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination requested the ‘immediate suspension’ of the expansion plans for Camisea after Peru’s indigenous organizations AIDESEP, ORAU, FENAMAD and COMARU wrote to the Committee about the deadly expansion plans.

The work contravenes international and Peruvian law and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, which require the free, prior, and informed consent for any projects on indigenous land, and uphold uncontacted tribes’ rights to their lands and lives.

The Special Rapporteur will meet with Peruvian government officials and civil society organizations between December 6-13. Survival has urged him to raise the threats to uncontacted tribes with President Ollanta Humala.

Survival’s Director Stephen Corry said today, ‘The reserves for uncontacted tribes were created in order to protect some of the most vulnerable peoples on the planet but now Indian lives are being put at risk as Peru succumbs to gas fever. The government’s broken promises risk driving uncontacted peoples to extinction – and it’s all being carried out in the name of foreign profit.’

Japan Times, Dec. 6, 2013: Following political turmoil that rocked the Diet over the past week, ruling block Upper House members finally enacted the contentious state secrets bill late Friday night. Earlier in the day, opposition parties intensified their protests in vain over a law that’s being criticizing for not creating an independent oversight body capable of preventing the government from hiding inconvenient information at its discretion.

Businessweek, Dec. 6, 2013: Prime Minister Shinzo Abe secured final passage of a bill granting Japan’s government sweeping powers to declare state secrets, a measure aimed at shoring up defense ties with the U.S. that prompted a public backlash and revolt by the opposition.

Asahi Shimbun, Dec. 6, 2013: Kazuo Shii, chief of the Japanese Communist Party, described the ruling coalition’s behavior as “tyrannical, arrogant and disorderly.” The ruling coalition believed prolonging the Diet debate any longer could backfire, only fueling the mushrooming opposition to the bill, and lead to a further decline in approval ratings for Abe’s Cabinet and hold on power. An Asahi Shimbun survey taken between Nov. 30-Dec. 1 showed the Cabinet’s approval rating at 49 percent, dipping below 50 percent for the first time since he took power in December 2012. Officials in the Abe administration foresee the public eventually forgetting about the controversy, once the legislation is approved.

It criminalizes investigative journalism [...] Journalists can be prosecuted for “improperly accessing” classified documents or “conspiring” to leak them. Even asking an official to take a look at classified documents could constitute “conspiracy,” leading to up to five years in prison. “Instigating” the release of government secrets, meanwhile, carries up to 10 years in the dock. [...] Basically, anything can be a secret [...] administrators can make the opaque decisions to classify a document even if their work hardly relates to national security. That effectively allows them to hide any embarrassing piece of evidence, and then pursue the journalists and bloggers who make it public. [...]

It is within the nature of mankind for a disproportionately small percentage of men to attempt to exert control over the greater multidinous horde.  The primary method of control is achieved through violent oppression.

Violence is required as most people will not willingly submit to control by others, be it few or many.  For violence to be perpetrated, weapons are required.  Our history as a species can be defined, in large measure, by the vehicles of violence (weapons) employed at the point in history being addressed.

For years, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has maintained that the combined influenza vaccine, which was first administered during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic flu season, is perfectly safe and actually encouraged for pregnant women. But a new study published in the journal Human and Environmental Toxicology (HET) reveals that, following the mass administration of the untested dual vaccine, which contains the mercury-based preservative Thimerosal, miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women who received it skyrocketed by an astounding 4,250 percent.

Based on information compiled from the official government Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System(VAERS), which only accounts for less than 10 percent of all actual vaccine injury cases, the multiple-strain, inactivated flu vaccine containing mercury was directly responsible for triggering the 4,250 percent fetal death increase, which was seen only during the 2009 pandemic flu season. In the years before the vaccine’s administration, as well as in the years after, rates of miscarriage and stillbirth were far lower, pointing to the combined vaccine as the culprit.

According to Eileen Dannemann, Director of the National Coalition of Organized Women (NCOW), the CDC has continually made a conscious and willful effort to cover up this data, which shows the immense dangers of the combined flu shot, and has repeatedly lied to the public with claims that the vaccine is safe for pregnant women. The agency even went so far as to publish a fraudulent study in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AJOG) that intentionally withheld critical data on the fetal death spike.

“Not only did the CDC fail to disclose the spiraling spike in fetal death reports in real time during the 2009 pandemic season as to cut the fetal losses, but also we have documented by transcript Dr. Marie McCormick, chairperson of the Vaccine Safety Risk Assessment Working Group (VSRAWG) on September 3, 2010, denying any adverse events in the pregnant population during the 2009 pandemic season,” wrote Dannemann in a letter to Dr. Joseph Mercola about her findings.

Hidden presentation slide reveals CDC knew full well about spike in fetal deaths from flu shot, deliberately tried to hide this information

Since the combined flu shot has never actually been tested for safety, especially in pregnant women, the CDC set up a mock advisory group headed by its own Dr. Marie McCormick to track all adverse events from the shot during the 2009 pandemic season. But as reported by investigative journalist Christina England over atVactruth.com, neither Dr. McCormick nor any other advisory person ever fessed up with the truth about the flu shot’s dangers, even after being confronted with incontrovertible evidence.

“The Advisory Committee on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) and CDC were confronted with the VAERS data from NCOW on September 3, 2010, in Washington, D.C., and then again by conference call on September 10, and then again in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 28, 2010,” added Dannemann in her letter. “On both September 3 and September 10, Dr. Marie McCormick clearly denied that there were any adverse events for pregnant women from the 2009 flu vaccine.”

To make matters worse, the CDC’s Dr. Tom Shimabakuru was caught lying about significant adverse reactions to the H1N1 vaccine at the October 28 presentation in Atlanta. According to England, Dr. Shimabakuru had a secret slide in his briefcase that revealed the significant uptick in fetal deaths among pregnant women who received the flu shot, but it was not included in his presentation. It was only after a member of the audience requested information on such adverse events that Dr. Shimabakuru reluctantly and nervously pulled out the slide, further revealing the CDC’s extensive efforts to conceal this important information from the public.
