He couldn’t move and he couldn’t use gravity and he was going to die. He’s been close to death before. When he was human, it was scarier. He was nothing more than bones and skin and knobbly knees. As a Meta, you ran into Death more often. By design, and in Atsumu’s case, due to his profession. Death became less scary when you knew you could fight it back down. But Atsumu couldn’t fight. Not like this. Not when Viper has something capable of blocking his powers.
“Goodbye, Mr. Jackal.”
The gun clicked. Atsumu winced. Death approached, and he was powerless to stop it.
