You're so kind! Thank you, I really appreciate that! I love this concept also and I'm currently working on Iron Hawk pages 4 and 5 and have more episodes coming down the pipeline. I hope everyone continues to be intrigued by it. In the meantime, I'd also happily entertain any asks related to the tower rescue AU. For example, any questions or prompts about scenes I haven't covered. I'd be keen to expand the idea in that way too, by making draw answers

I decided to title the Berserk fan story/comic I have planned for the early tower rescue au: The Iron Hawk. I'm thinking single page updates for short episodic comic chapters that follow Griffith as he reinvents himself, salvages the remains of a shattered dream and his limbo with Guts after returning to the Hawks. Tower Rescue AU player: Judeau. Griffith has been returned to the surviving Hawks but he's missing much of his former glory. He's also missing his signature lucky amulet. Judeau is observant and notices how Griffith worries his fingers together where the necklace used to rest against his chest. So Judeau carves him a new one. A humble little wood carved egg.

Less than a month. Maybe 3 weeks. But he was kept in the dark so time was very distorted for him.

You're right! That particular detail of his hair being cut while imprisoned is honestly so powerful and heartbreaking for what it symbolizes. I'm still wrestling with this for the au. Having his hair short would mark a strong physical difference from the Griffith he was before and there's lots of potential for character interactions with that. (It would also save some drawing time lol) But right now I'm leaning on sparing his long hair because it's soooo undeniably iconic and useful for compositions. I may do a one-off in which Griffith's hair is mangled and roughly chopped while in the tower but Casca cuts it into something tidy... That is such a sad image to me. Casca cutting his hair for him, wow.

I think I'm gonna start treating the 'Early Tower Rescue AU' partly like a running fanart theme and partly like an ask blog. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Stay tuned for more! Namely an intro post to show the main characters
