Aliya Mustafina: bars in qualification at the European Games.
"I understand that everything is about working for maximum results. But these results are not always obtained. I do not think that we have to win right now. Training is necessary so that the medals will be gold in Rio. To get to first place is especially harder. We took third place here, but now we clearly understand what we need to work on." ~Aliya Mustafina (on winning the team bronze at Euros)
"It was needed. After it, training is easier. Mentally, it's easier to come to the gym." ~Aliya Mustafina (on her break)
"It was a little scary. I fought and prepared for a long time. Now I've come to the senses, to show what I'm ready to do. I had a lot of adrenaline, and couldn't always handle it." ~Viktoria Komova (on her comeback)
"If you compete without focus, you can get hurt, and, secondly, you have to keep going forward with everyone watching you and not embarrass yourself. I rested, and so this will be the meet to get me ready for my next meet, which will [help] to get in shape before the European championships." ~Aliya Mustafina (on why she took a two month break)
Viktoria Komova is finally back!
It's still funny because Jordyn Wieber won the American Cup when she was 13 and no on complained. But then she wins it when she was 15 and she was going to be 16 later that year but Russia freaks out and refuses to return.

Viktoria Komova working new elements on bars
Her coaches are working on new elements on bars to be submitted to the code, but they don’t want to say what they are working on. They will show it to FIG first, and if it will be credited highly enough, they will start adding it to her routine. (http://lakekrugloye.tumblr.com/post/73951010416)
"Three weeks ago I broke my leg, so now a little limp." ~Viktoria Komova
So apparently Aliya Mustafina is only taking off January and is expected to resume training in February.
