And SS is angsty? ANGSTY? SS is nothing because they have NOTHING. If you want angst, there is ItaSasu, SNS, SK, even SH but NOT SS. And SK’s got a very dark moment with Sasuke’s stab, to show that Sasuke entered Darkness Mode (similar to SNS’s). So something that has been really bugging me for a while is the certitude that kishi hates the ending pairs . No, not the certitude , more like the frustration that comes from the fact that so many pro Enders just choose to ignore FACTS . Allow me to break it down for you :
So kishi and the sp team came to the realization that they needed a quick new generation of ninjas so they could milk more money out of the viewers . They needed the sharingan , so SasuNaru was out of discussion ( if you’d really stretch it out it might actually be possible, but he probably thought it was too complicated to justify ) so he was left with the other obvious choices . Sasukarin and narusaku had a smaller fan base than the ending pairs ( I , myself, rooted for SasuSaku as a child , and I would have probably been upset if he ended up with a side character ) so he went for those even though he doesn’t like them himself . Ok. I hate them with a passion , but I would have been able to let it slide if they had the least bit of development .
HERE COMES MY QUESTION FOR THE PRO ENDERS : Let’s say kishi decides at the very end to make these pairings canon. Why does he choose such a poor way of doing it ? He is the author . He could have made sasuke apologize better , he could have made him show sudden affection to Sakura , he could have made him leave the village for a few years and then come back and STAY. He could have said that he found himself on his journey, make him join the anbu and start a family the PROPER WAY . He could have made him stay and take care of Sarada and actually be kind to Sakura . So why doesn’t he? Written the right way, HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT . He could have depicted them as a HAPPY family , INSTEAD HE MAKES THEM APPEAR MISERABLE . Why? Why would he make sasuke leave and not raise Sarada at all, be a jerk to Sakura and trap him in this unjustified marriage , plus the confusion with Karin and the umbilical cord etc .
Answer: because he freaking hates them . Because he is the author and he knows the characters better than any of us . HE KNOWS THAT SAKURA CAN NOT UNDERSTAND SASUKE AND that sasuke is not able to create a bond with Sakura so he makes him leave . In boruto, sasuke rushes to naruto s house instead of his own , after years of absence. For us anti shippers , this totally makes sense , because we know how strong the SasuNaru bond is and how seriously does sasuke take his missions , but for SasuSaku shippers it is kind of a slap in the face . Sasuke is one of the most complex characters of this series and he suffered with fucking post traumatic depression since he was 8. He was manipulated his whole life and he was emotionally scarred . He needed an emphatic and patient lover, but Sakura is neither of those . She only cared about proving a point to ino and “winning” the uchiha name without knowing what it actually means . Kishi knew that, but he could have changed it and he chose not to . He hates it more than anyone and the canon title literally becomes non valid . For me , it means nothing , as long as the author himself is against you .
Wow you really have a broad usage of the word hint. You use it for everything. If your doctor took an x-ray and showed you that you had a broken bone you'd thank them for showing you the hint. What is Kishimoto supposed to do? Her parentage is in a databook, and characters made statements. Hints are indirect suggestions. A direct statement is not a hint. I swear Kishimot could just throw his hands in the air and say what the hell am I supposed to say, I've already answered you a million ways.
