If Sasuke is to end with a woman then the best match for him would be Karin.

I don’t think SS is like SK or that Karin is like Sakura and I don’t think Kishimoto even meant for them to be the same. He let SS be about shallow, selfish love, and let SK be about dangerous but selfless love.

Unlike Sakura, Karin loved Sasuke for who he is, not just for how he looked like or how he acted. She wasn’t loyal to Orochimaru, she only stayed with him because of her love for Sasuke. When Orochimaru was gone, she followed Sasuke to help him fulfil his goal. She understood his revenge and knew what his path was like and still chose to follow him and help him with his revenge. So if marriage is about finding someone who could truly be there for you in thick and thin and until the end of time, then Karin could easily fit that requirement. She actually already proven it.

Sakura, on the other hand, was like, “Forget about revenge/Please stay with me/Stop and let’s go back to how things used to be… else, die so this suffering would finally end for all of us…”. She didn’t understand his personality or his revenge. Although I can’t really blame her for not understanding revenge since she knew nothing about the pain of loss or the pain of loneliness, I definitely would wrong her for telling him to choose her over his revenge, which is something Karin never did. That was inexcusable and very selfish even for someone who doesn’t understand revenge.

Compared to that, Karin, who was sought by Sasuke for her remarkable abilities, agreed to join him out of love, but she never tried to guilt-trip him into answering her feelings or dropping everything for her sake. Because she loved him, she followed him, healed him, watched his back, forgave him when he apologized (because she also knew he wasn’t himself) and choose to protect him. It’s proven that, when she was only a second away from death, all Karin ever really wanted is to see Sasuke smile again, which erases all the nasty things Karin-haters keep saying about her feelings for him. She loved him deeply. It was referred to as a dangerous love at one point, but in the end, it was proven to be real and selfless love, for in reality, all Karin ever wanted was for Sasuke to feel fulfilled and be happy. 

As for Sasuke’s side of this ship, it’s true that Sasuke never showed any romantic feelings to any girl, but Karin was the only girl he showed interest in and the only girl he awakened a new power to save. The other people he did something like that for/or/because of are Itachi and Naruto, which proves that Karin was also dear to him, and so is the other taka members. It’s what made him see the shadows of team 7 in them. They slowly became like a family to him. Also, Sasuke actually respects Karin and does depend on her a lot, which is something he never did with Sakura, not even during the war arc.

In Sasuke’s death scene, Karin awakened a new ability for him as well, which showed how real her feelings for him were. It wasn’t just a crush or some shallow feelings, it was something that affected her on a deep level that she awakened a new ability just to reach him in time and save him.

As for personalities, Karin is strong, confident woman who went through hardships, seen the ugly side of the ninja world, and knew what revenge is, which give her many advantages over Sakura in terms of understanding Sasuke and being there for him. And just like him, she’s also someone who doesn’t have a home to return to, which makes her a perfect match for a wanderer like him.

There is also the fact that Karin is someone who stands up to Sasuke, points out his mistakes to his face and lectures him like an older sister or a mother. She also cares about him enough to watch his back and not just appreciate being around him. When She knew that they were being followed back then, she came up with a trick and executed it with Juugo’s help without going through Sasuke, so she doesn’t just rely on him or follow him around like a tool, she watches over him and does her best to protect him, which makes her a reliable partner. It also means that she actually uses her intelligence and does contribute to a mission.

Lastly, Karin unleashing the Uzumaki Clan’s ability for Sasuke was like an answer to him unleashing a new power for her during Killerbee’s battle. I i recall correctly, this strong feature only happened in two ships, NaruSasu and SasuKarin.

I don’t ship SK but I think it makes sense.
