The mainstream movie and TV industry have officially run out of ideas. I know that we’ve been saying this for, like, years now, but it’s evident now more than ever. It seems like a new superhero movie is coming out every other month, making mediocre sequels has become an art, and TV shows are getting a reboot just a few years after they were cancelled! And speaking of reboots, it’s the reboot industry that’s getting the most play right now. I’ll be honest, sometimes a reboot can turn out pretty cool. I mean, technically Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a reboot, and more recently Bates Motel–a Psycho reboot/spinoff of sorts–and Girl Meets World have proven that not all reboots are lazy AF. Hell, there’s a Xena reboot coming out, and Xena will be an out lesbian in it!
