When it comes to New Year’s resolutions, it can be a little easier to avoid failure if you aim a little lower and make your resolutions doable. But it can still be tempting to try to achieve these seven garbage New Year’s resolutions instead. Here’s a tip: Don’t…seriously, don’t.
But whether you think that New Year’s resolutions are pointless or not, one thing is certain: There’s always room for improvement, and there are probably things that you did in 2016 that you should probably stop doing in 2017.
High school seniors: Happy Last New Years Before You Graduate High School. It’s really weird to think about, but this just might be the last New Year’s Eve you have with your high school friend group before you all scatter for college. It’s sad, but true – and next year, you may not even be sad about it. This year is going to be a really big for you (if it hasn’t been that already), so making 2016 the best year ever while also trying to be a little more adult should be easy breezy, yeah? Graduating high school AND starting college/a job/the military/gap year should be no biggie to cram into 365 days. So your New Year’s resolutions should be totally reflective of how awesome this year is going to be, right? Yeah, um… *gulp*
Guys, we’re just one day away from 2016. Can you believe it?!
Celebrities on social media can be a mixed blessing. For every awesome af Anna Kendrick Twitter account, there are some seriously questionable celebrities who need to take a little break from the internet. There are some annoying celebrity trends that are giving social media bad name.
STOP trying to please and impress everyone.
STOP: body shaming, slut shaming, silencing marginalized people.
Confidence is something that most of us need to work on. It doesn’t matter how shy you are or how extroverted you are, confidence issues can affect each and every one of us, sometimes in the most sucky ways possible. Confidence isn’t just about being able to talk to your crush, it’s about believing in yourself enough not to actively avoid things that seem challenging or scary. Confidence is about facing your fears and unlearning the notion that you don’t deserve awesome experiences.
