Yo…thrift shopping is so much more fun and, often, a lot more rewarding than regular ole mall shops. Not only do you find some really unique pieces, you’re guaranteed to spend a lot less than you would on a comparable item at Zara or something. Here are nine of them that you’ll have a hard time arguing against.
We’ve all been there: You spend all this time figuring out what you’re going to wear, finally put it on your body, look in a mirror, and instantly get the urge to fall asleep. Why? Because it feels so boring. Lifeless. Dull. Basic. Not what you were going for.
I’ve always had a slightly offbeat sense of style. I mean, not that long ago in high school I was rocking bright neon tights with rainbow checkered skirts and weird graphic tees. I’m not quite wearing that now, but I am rocking pink jellies, ultra ’80s shoulder padded blouses, and and DIY denim jackets. Back in college, before I was more style-savvy, I used to think I could only wear plain t-shirts with jeans or sweats. Now I know that you can wear them so many different ways!
I decided to enlist the help of my fellow Gurl co-workers because I thought that would be fun since we all have such different style. We picked a simple basic – the black tee – to show 6 different ways you can style it. The black tee we went with is from Target, and it’s awesome. At only $12, it’s super affordable, and it’s also very comfy and soft. Want to find a new, fresh way to wear your black tee? Here are 6 outfit ideas...
FKA Twigs might be the coolest, weirdest chick around at the moment, and she is absolutely blowing up. With her eerie, experimental pop/trip hop fusion, her slicked down baby hair and daring style, Twigs is a force that is confusing and alluring all at the same time.
Oh, and she’s also dating Robert Pattinson which is, I don’t know, kind of a big deal for some people.
