I’ve always had a slightly offbeat sense of style. I mean, not that long ago in high school I was rocking bright neon tights with rainbow checkered skirts and weird graphic tees. I’m not quite wearing that now, but I am rocking pink jellies, ultra ’80s shoulder padded blouses, and and DIY denim jackets. While I’d like to think that my style has improved, it still has its roots in being a little weird, a little wacky, and a little rebellious.

I wanted to give you guys some more personal style tips on how to wear a black t-shirt, by someone who isn’t a style blogger with access to professional photographers or endless amounts of expensive clothing. I love fashion, and I love versatile pieces that I can play around with. It’s easy to buy one item of clothing, fall in love with it, and then immediately get stuck in a style rut with it. FKA Twigs might be the coolest, weirdest chick around at the moment, and she is absolutely blowing up. With her eerie, experimental pop/trip hop fusion, her slicked down baby hair and daring style, Twigs is a force that is confusing and alluring all at the same time.
Oh, and she’s also dating Robert Pattinson which is, I don’t know, kind of a big deal for some people.
