Anyway. The point is that you all like to talk about guys. Lately, there have been a lot of questions about them and, specifically, what you are supposed to do if they are mean to you. Whether they are boyfriends, guy friends, or someone in that nebulous in-between area, read below for my answers about what to do when boys are mean to you!
Jimmy Kimmel has a running segment on his show where celebrities read mean tweets about themselves. Some of the tweets are pretty mean, but the celebs often laugh it off or just don’t care. Because they’re celebrities, they know they’re in the spotlight and that people will say mean things sometimes. But they’re celebrities and have the means to let negative comments roll off their backs. The Canadian Safe School Network took this idea and had real students read mean tweets about themselves. The results are super depressing and a wakeup call that we need to do more to stop bullying.
Hey, i'm in high school right now which means there's a lot of immature people roaming the halls. There is a guy in my class who calls girls he does't like "feminists" like it's an insult. My question to you is, how do i respond when he does this, which can be multiple times a day, and how do I educate this guy without offending him(too much).
Response: “Aww, thank you SO much! I really love supporting equal rights. Why don’t you educate yourself on what a feminist actually is? I think you’ll find it's quite the compliment. Have a great day! Try not to stay too ignorant.”
Then give him a huge smile and walk away.

Eating disorders are, unfortunately, far too common. It has been estimated that up to 24 million people in the United States suffer from an eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia. Those numbers are terrifying. What’s also terrifying is that some people out there continue to throw these words around like they’re no big deal. One example is something singer Meghan Trainor (of “All About That Bass” fame) said when she was talking about being “chubby” when she was younger: “I wasn’t strong enough to have an eating disorder… I tried to go anorexic for a good three hours. I ate ice and celery, but that’s not even anorexic. And I quit. I was like, ‘Ma, can you make me a sandwich? Like, immediately.’”
A lot of people took offense to Meghan’s words, and for good reason. I know she didn’t mean anything bad by her quote, but, well… it came out that way. Meghan was basically throwing around the word “anorexia” as if it’s no big deal. She was acting like having anorexia means you’re strong and disciplined – like it’s a positive thing to have, as if it’s the only way to lose weight. This is so false, and it’s not something that anyone should put into a girl’s head.
Making Rude Comments About Someone Else's Appearance: We've all made a rude comment about someone's outfit because we thought that we were being funny. None of us has been appointed the fashion police and the age old saying that if we don't have anything nice to say don't say anything all still applies.
She was Bullied in High School: You'd think she didn't have any trouble in high school, but she had the worst time. She was bullied a lot, but got through it and now helps others understand that you can overcome bullying. She told E! News, "I was bullied and it's hard, you feel like high school's never going to be over. It's four years of your life and you just have to remember the person picking on you has their own problems and their own issues. And you're going to be OK."
