Confidence is something that most of us need to work on. It doesn’t matter how shy you are or how extroverted you are, confidence issues can affect each and every one of us, sometimes in the most sucky ways possible. Confidence isn’t just about being able to talk to your crush, it’s about believing in yourself enough not to actively avoid things that seem challenging or scary. Confidence is about facing your fears and unlearning the notion that you don’t deserve awesome experiences.

A Little Extra Fat: "That tiny paunch that sometimes forms when the're sitting down after a full day of eating, drinking, whatever... or the little bit of a jiggle in their butt or thighs when they walk... or that their hips aren't flat flush against the waist strap of their jeans to within a millimeter, etc. Despite what a vocal contingent of very opinionated guys on the internet say, we're not all Patrick Bateman-types searching for "perfect hardbodies" and recoil at the slightest hint of anything resembling body fat. Women are supposed to have deposits around the chest, hips and thighs, and most guys appreciate some of it, and even more still will find you drop dead gorgeous in person even if he has a preference towards a completely toned swimsuit model look. Human bodies are imperfect machines, and even healthy and athletic people have a little bit of extra somewhere, that in reality most other people never even notice."

We’re all about body positivity here are Gurl, which is why we think that Meghan Trainor‘s song “All About The Base” is totally dope. Trainor tells it like it is: You can still be a confident gal even if you aren’t a size two. Yep, whether you’ve got curves, some serious junk in the trunklove handles for miles, thunder thighs for days or all of the above, that’s no reason to feel like you can’t see yourself as beautiful and desirable.
