“Barely.” Came the croaked response.
“Here, have some water.”

Omg I was trying to write you a anon message about something and my cat bumped me before I could word it how it right so I can’t tell if it sent or deleted it
If you just got a unfinished and awkward ask wining about how unfair it feels that shipping crosshunt or fivesecho etc will get us attacked and run of the platform while the same people with the pitchforks post about rampart SA-ing crosshair while he was in a state that made consent literally impossible that was really frustrating me this morning 😅
I was trying to trim it down and make it less rambling when my cat bumped me lol. I’m firmly in the ship you ship camp it just bugs me consensual clone shipping is the most evil thing you can do here but they can drool over crosshair being violated
Sorry if you got both these aks 🫣 I’m just sleepy and head over heels for crosshunt and it makes me sad I have to vague post and use sneaky tags to not get hate mail and/or blocked when it is my comfort ship idk if any of that made sense
You're all good! I only got this one ask!
I've been seeing this/thinking about it a lot too. Especially with the antis panicked around this little showrunner interaction.
People literally begged in the comments for clarification, hoping that the Kiners were talking about Rampart/CX, and not cloneshipping.
And I'm like... what mental gymnastics do you have to commit to believe that NONCON is more wholesome than cloneshipping. Like don't get me wrong, I've written some fucked up stuff, including noncon, but I can't find a situation where I would write a Rampart and a clone, let alone Crosshair, and it not be noncon. I couldn't even pull it off as dubcon. That is straight up, no consent is happening there, no matter what either party says.
And again, I don't care if people ship Rampart and a clone. I'm a big fan of Hydra Trash Party, and this is basically the Imperial Trash Party. But let's not pretend it's anything but noncon/dead dove. And for these same people to judge and harass cloneshippers? Nah. Glass houses and all that.
But that would be expecting antis to be consistent about their own fictional preferences and tastes, and that's asking far too much of someone who has an illogical stance to begin with.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, a fandom where torturing a clone is fine, but having them be in a consensual relationship with another clone is a moral outrage.
OMG indeed! Again, when ever a discussion about cloneshippers and the hatred revolving around the subject matter and even those writing /drawing the stuff pops up, I apparently have to chime in.
I don’t follow these creators myself, but have seen some of the reposts of their stuff and I must say, given the Kiners are LQBTQ+++ supporters and all having a family member part of the team as it were, I totally think it was about cloneshipping the comment was made of. They know it exists, even DBB doing the Robot Chicken stint way back when.
I must also admit to have written one or two Cross/Rampy tales, but those were more on the humorous side of things, as I don’t really see them doing the horizontal or even vertical mambo per se, but yeah, have to try on new things me guesses.
Alas, being totes in love with the clones and their relations, and speaking of myself in a platonic way but of course, the clone on clone just do something for me. And mostly when writing of shipping I tend to tell tales of the more fluffy kind of love and such, sometimes touching on the more mature and perhaps even explicit side of things. I understand the need to write dubcon/noncon as a way to explore either experienced trauma or the subject matter itself. Having lived a long myself I cannot say I haven’t been touched by the matter either in one form or another. Most of us have. The lucky ones are fewer, again, me thinks.
But, again, most stories revolving around cloneshipping, at least what I have read, and I have read a lot of them, all kinds as like said, I like to keep up to par with what people are writing, but also, trying understand different point of views no matter how touchy the subject matter just might be. I don’t have to like them, but I need to know about them. That is how I feel at least. But where was I? Oh yes, mostly from what I see, the shippers write wholesome tales of love and devotion between consenting “adults” or parties as we have to assume the clones are that at least at a certain point in their lives. This is fiction, they are clones so despite the child soldier thing, which they totally are in our real life point of views, this is fiction, happening in another galaxy far far away.
The point I am trying to make here is, those antis are like some of the YouTubers with the thumbnails of hate, woke, star wars is dead kind of people. They are hopefully but a few only, but the loudest they can be. Shouting their own oppressed (again my opinion) agenda to those willing to listen.
But I am glad to see if the creators of the show (Kiners) stepped up and did not comment back on the CXs being totally in love with each other. I truly hope a happy ending for them wherever they land. The CXs. Cause, I’m a sucker for happy endings :D
Just my two old cents, having been there and a lot of other places, sometimes buying a t-shirt, or a cap, most times, just chucking things off with a comment, “things I see one the internets”. And yet, here once again, I just have to chime in?!
What the kark is wrong with me?
Lesson learnt I guess, you can never become too old to care passionately about something. And the clones surely have taken a permanent residence in my chilly old heart!

People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.

I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.
Once someone tagged art that I made with "woah" and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said "oh neat" once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don't even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I'd probably cry from joy.
I'm also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it's hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.
The key being used to
Now silence in its place lies
Forgotten and abused
Is the art work sublime
This still inspires me.

Fandom: God there’s like NO content anymore. I wish we could get more art and fanfics :(((
Someone: Hey, I can’t draw anything digitally, because I can’t afford a tablet, but here’s a pen on paper drawing that I spent a lot of time and hard work on. Also, I took a shot at my first fanfic and I’d really like some feedback or at least some kudos if you enjoyed it :)
Fandom: Oh... yeah sorry no... not you. We actually meant writers that are already well known and popular to produce MORE content... I mean, if a popular blog shares your work then maybe. And we don’t really like pen to paper art. We just don’t think it’s professional or even looks good :/
This is why I try to reblog things that have little notes - the fandom NEEDS new people, or it dies, but the OLD people are there to support the new creators! New creators will leave and forget if the fandom doesn't welcome them, because they feel left out. We should remember that all great artists and writers, even the famous ones in big name fandoms, they all started from nothing.
If you don't want a fandom to die feed the sparks that come anew, don't blow on the old burnt ashes hoping they'll start again.
REBLOG STUFF IN GENERAL!!!
also please do not demand "content." Fandom does not consist of content-making machines.
It is a community.
Participate.
Fandom is conversation, not consumption.
This is true for both old and new creators 🖖
