Hot take but we as a fandom should stop saying Lunar betrayed Eclipse. Lunar stood up for himself and left an abusive situation. Framing it as a betrayal prioritized Eclipses emotions over the harm he caused and also the powerful moment it was and the big character moment it was for Lunar.
Saying "Eclipse killed Lunar because he was hurt he betrayed him" and "Eclipse killed Lunar because he was mad the person he made to be subservient stood up to him after being abused," paint two very different pictures. And I think erasing the very real abuse that happened flattens both characters and the narrative.
So idk if you're someone who thinks that it was a betrayal and not someone escaping abusive situation I implore you to go back and rewatch the October takeover again
