my beautiful lady wife gwen
i made a video where i talked about, ranked and analysed gwen’s outfits in merlin 🪷
i speculate about the link between her outfits and her growth and mention flower symbolism and the parallels of guinevere as a celtic goddess 🌸
i made a tier ranking system for her outfits that you can find here, i would love to see you share your rankings ✨
I just love the fact that Gwen's outfits almost always have flowers
And if you look closer you can see them. Even her battle outfit has flowers!
Before she became the queen her finest dress had this corset with asymmetrical flowers. It feels like she made this entire outfit by herself only and that's why she loves it I love it too she's so cute here
And since she didn't have servants at this moment the strings of her corset are on the front side because it would be easier to deal with
As the queen she does wear a corset (you can see it by her silhouette) but she has many servants so she can wear whatever she wants as she has a lot of help while dealing with her dresses. But even then! She still has flowers 🌻

“Mommy, Guinevere looks like me!”
Uhh, yeah a bit.
this is why all sorts of representation is important. i dont know this little girl, but i want this little girl to be psyched to jump into entertainment as escapism.
Imagine a world of inclusive escapism.
Okay but sometimes Gwen just like packs a little lunch in a little basket and wanders into the less dense part of the forest (close enough to call for help, but far enough not to be seen from the wood’s edge) and she takes a little stroll and she has a little snack and she enjoys herself and smiles and smells the flowers and this morning’s rain, and doesn’t have to remember her missing brother, or her mother or the millions of tasks waiting to be done or the strange relationships she’s half-developed with so many noble but unstable men, and she just has some time to herself enjoying jam she’d made all on her own from her mother’s recipe and she braids a little crown for herself from wildflowers and she’s content.
