I am so very happy to finally be publishing this!!! My huge long AU that I really hope to see through to the end. It all started with the basic idea of Eramis winding up as the leader of an alternative house light in a different timeline and went from there! I’ve been working pretty hard on this for awhile as I really want to make it a realistic and enjoyable story and do Eramis justice! I really love her as I hope is evidenced by this very self indulgent she-deserves-better AU. A huuuuge thank you to @kaonite for being my best bro and helping me with this fic, giving me encouragement and just genuinely enjoying it! (and watching me have a breakdown over a title for several hours, a title I am still not 100% satisfied with) I hope if you like Eliksni, and especially Eramis can enjoy!!

Every time I advocate for voting people are like "no you shouldn't vote! Read this literature, it'll totally change the way you view voting!" And every single time it's the same fucking "you shouldn't vote because both parties are exactly the same so it won't make a difference who wins" bullshit wrapped up in some fancy language

"OP you need to read 'Voting is not Harm Reduction" OP has read Voting is not Harm Reduction. It opens with the acknowledgement that for the most vulnerable people, even a tiny degree of harm reduction can mean life or death and then continues to advocate for not participating in that harm reduction lest you "participate in your own oppression". Pardon me for not finding "vulnerable people should die for my ideology" very convincing.

Thank you for summing up my entire issue with anti-vote people in one sentence.

An empty idealogical gesture that doesn’t make anything better, let alone even engage in harm reduction, is not leftism.

Especially if they think there’s nothing that can be done that will make a difference, so they’re just planning to make empty idealogical gestures until circumstances get bad enough that someone else gets forced to start a revolution for them because if they were going to do it instead of ranting about how useless voting is they’d have tried it already.

That’s not leftism and I will never shut up about how that’s not leftism. Because leftism is not about dying an honorable death on a hill that’s stupid.

I don’t even know what to call it. Defeatism maybe.

Just a thought for the night, but remember in 2016 there were all these accounts that seemed really really telling you all the ways Hillary Clinton was some kind of demon woman, just the worst, and really Trump wouldn't be worse and maybe he'd even be better?

and then it turned out they got banned for being literally Russian agents and never came back because spoiler they were?

does it feel like that all over again? just a thought.

Nihilistic disinterest in politics favors the party most opposed to democracy. The United States electoral college was designed from its foundation to deny political power to non-white, non-male people. Don't do the work of conservative oppressors by refusing to participate in democracy.

Realized months after making this I shouldn’t have been a lazy ass and done the work to make it say “intellectual GUARDIANS that also love their titties” but do you know how long it takes me to draw anything?!?!?

BUT ALLLSOOO if you sit me down and I have to say how I actually super seriously see Eramis, to me her interest in romance is in the negatives for most of her time after the whirlwind.

I USED to say that the loss of Athrys and their hatchlings was so incredibly traumatic and she is still dedicated to them despite their loss...and is just starting to consider letting others that close and maybe having a family again during beyond light with her lieutenants, at least the ones she is closest to. That is before we....you know.

But now....well. With...mounting evidence I guess my thoughts haven't CHANGED about Eramis and romance but it's because her wife has just been...there the whole time. At least physically.

I know that's confusing I'll explain more in my Athrys post that I SWEAR I AM WORKING ON ITS JUST LONG AND MY PRODUCTIVITY IS HORRIBLE.

BUT ANYWAY!! Do you know what rivalry I think Eramis and Inaaks did have?? Bitch rivalry. They were constantly trying to prove THEY were the bigger badder uber bitch of the universe. Every time they were in a room together they were trying to irradiate each other with pure cunt energy.

Eramis will always be the superior one though because she is a good parent and Inaaks won "worlds worst mom" three hundred years in a row.

Seems like my whole life is just missing out on getting to ask Eramis if I can smooch her then thanking her as she crushes my windpipe instead 😩

Now that we've seen the swordfight and her straight up spider jumping onto her Ketch we know for sure it looks basically like any other without special marks so it certainly could be! She hadn't been broken out for very long before we arrived. I want to see more ketches!!! Some of them like spiders don't seem that big but then there are others that have flown overhead that are FUCKING HUGE. I just think they're neat ::3

also if there is ever anything you want to rewatch but can't replay destiny lore vault is my favorite youtube channel for that kind of thing.
