In case you missed it: Chapter 1
After having his little taunt at Alistair, Arthur went up to his cabin on the main deck. He climbed out of the darkness of the gallery and entered the sunkissed deck where the day was finally reaching its end. He let out a sigh gazing out at sea where the waters were tinged orange and purple, and the breeze carried the lingering smell of burning wood coated in crisping paint and charred flesh blackened like coal. His soldiers kept busy all around him, staying out of his way. Arthur pouted when he realized he was the only one still rejoicing over their recent victory. His hands on his hips, he kept his gaze set forward, their course set for home.
He sensed more than heard Francis following him at a respectable distance. Arthur turned his head just slightly to glimpse at him. “What?” he frowned.
Today I noticed that Dead Man’s Prayer is going to be turning three years old next Monday. This leaves me feeling a bit in awe. Dead Man’s Prayer was my second novel-length work of fiction, my most massive work of fanfiction, and the story isn’t even completely over yet.
It’s the first in a trilogy called Of Privateers and Pirates and I’m just one chapter away from finishing Cruellest Conquests, its sequel, which has been in the works for over a year now and is expected to be completed before 2018 is over.
Part three, Braveheart, will be coming in 2019. After that, I will probably revisit and rewrite the entire series for publishing.
What do you guys think?
For those of you still sticking around through my inactivity, I appreciate every single one of you so damn much. I know I’m terrible with touching base and I’m sorry ;-;

Imagine: A Little Mermaid AU with merman Francis giving up his voice to woo Prince Arthur.
And then the first thing out of Arthur’s mouth when Francis gets his voice back: “Bloody hell, you’re FRENCH?”
