Luka managed to sneak into the room where Hannah keeps the fingerpaints and proceeded to adorn the walls with an impromptu masterpiece. Alois, upon finding where his brother had gotten to, was only too happy to follow suit. Claude merely sighed and wearily readjusted his glasses when he saw the rainbows of handprints left by the miscreant younglings.
The end of Season 2 of Black Butler is just so sad for everyone, like.. NOBODY WINS. Sebastian is trapped in servitude forever. Hannah is overwhelmed by the souls she ate and what they want, and Claude's just fucking dead! 💀
Heaven forbid anyone whether in the manga staff writing or animes script writing or the fandom itself too.. explores the most interesting ideas season 2 DID bring up, the way a human's soul can possibly influence the demon who eats it: aka what happened to Hannah throughout the plot, and at the end.
But ohh no, nevermind that lil plot tidbit, that wasn't as important as Sebastian and Claude's constant infighting, and certainly not something that could have been integrated and explained better because half of everyone who watched season 2 never even noticed or didn't care enough to focus on it 🙄

At the vociferous and repeated insistence of his highness, Claude agreed to deploy his spiders to decorate the Trancy manor for Halloween, on the condition that the butler will sweep the cobwebs away the moment November 1st rolls around. While not as much of an obsessive perfectionist as Michaelis, he still has standards of cleanliness to maintain. However, when Alois beamed and excitedly flung his arms around the demon with profuse expressions of gratitude, Claude realized he didn’t mind making the occasional concession to this mortal child’s whims.

Today, Claude spent a few hours embroidering a coat for His Highness.

Alois wheedled and begged until the triplets agreed to swap hairstyles amongst themselves to trick Claude into mixing the young devils up. However, the spider demon merely sighed and patiently fixed their bangs back into their original alignment, causing his highness to pout a little at having his prank so easily thwarted.
