I miss Mr. Graves TwT
So, new Fantastic Beasts were released. What I have to say about it:
I’m grateful to J.K. Rowling for not including Graves in this film and, hopefully, future one too. This woman spoils everything she touches and I think it will be better if Graves stays as product of our collective imagination.
Too bad there is no escape for other characters.
Hey, you're a really good artist. Your art brings a smile to my face and helps me stay in the fantastic beasts fandom, keep it up :)
Thank you very much for kind words, I really appreciate this
sir
Within the bubble, the smoke stirred.
The obscurus is really interesting to draw to be honest, even though it’s supposedly more oil than smoke haha… I also did a short fic in relation to it here! Art blog: questionartbox

Who Are You, Percival Graves?
Fandom: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
This amazing image belongs to @greisheb
“Who are you?”, asked the store window, so colourful and bright that a dark figure in its reflection seemed like a blasphemy.
He didn’t know the answer.
The first time he stepped inside what he knew used to be his apartment, Graves felt like an intruder.
“Have I ever really needed any of that?”, he thought in disbelief, wandering around big rooms, looking at every object. His possession. His life.
“Have I really needed this?”, the beaten man discarded for months in a cramped cell repeated the question absentmindedly.
The emptiness and cold waited for the reply of the newcomer. They felt confident, like home, given the time they have spent there, moving things, precisely gathering the dust, fading the colours. Every shadowed corner screamed that he did not belong there anymore. This was the home of Percival Graves, and he…
“Who are you?” Three silent words echoed inside a shell of an unfamiliar life. He didn’t know the answer.
His hair turned slightly grey, he didn’t even notice when, how could he? Months filled with darkness plastering every second not occupied by pain were taken from his life and he didn’t have anything he could replace it with. Everything seemed so… temporary. Artificial. False.
“Who are you?” asked an old mirror, judging him silently from the other side of the glass.
“Who are you?” asked a pale face with eyes of different colours.
“Who are you, Percival Graves?” the fresh droplets of blood asked, slipping from the shattered glass.
And he could not find the answer, standing among the shadows, as shattered as the mirror.
Hi:)
a life long game
OKAY THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING ART @greisheb and cause my friend @timidly-credence prompted me on it, I wrote a little something.
You, Percival Graves, do not know who you are any more.
As the mirror shards fall and bite into your palms, there is a certain sense of achievement in the pain. You, at least, can still feel that.
Your face stares back from what’s left of the broken mirror.
Who are you, Percival Graves?
Rappaport's law
So, while writing I had this awful idea that I hope someone will disprove.
Rappaport’s law is the law that prevents wizards and No-majs from intermingling. But what if it goes more than that. What if it’s strict enough magical children are removed from their families as soon as they start showing magical abilities. Are their families just obliviated? And those kids that are wisked away from their families. I would like to think magical families take them in, or are there magic orphanages full of these poor babies?
And what if it’s taken another step. What if squibs are taken from their families and abandoned in the no-maj world.
It’s a horrorfying thought that I’m using, but I also hope someone can pull some facts out somewhere and give a happier alternative.
Yooo, I’m so glad to find someone else who has wondered this exact same thing. Rappaport’s Law has some really scary implications. I’ve been trying to dig into the possibilities in my fic . But it’s because of Rappaports Law that I feel Grindelwald probably has a sizable following in America. With the separation between No-Maj’s and Wizards so much greater there, and Grindelwald being a powerful charismatic force who wants to change that, I feel like so many wizards would flock to him. Imagine a No-Maj Born wizard, which JKR says on pottermore are rather common in America, being taken away from their family at a young age. They’ll grow up to be bitter towards the whole government. Exactly the kind of person who’d follow a revolutionary dark wizard. I don’t believe he even claims the whole blood superiority thing that Voldemort does. All he claims to want is for Wizards to be on top and free to practice magic freely.
Also, don’t forget about racism problem. Like, in magic society everything is fine - they have PoC woman President, lots of PoC among aurors etc. But in no-maj’s society this is still a big deal. Imagine, PoC kid, who was born and raised in PoC family, who saw racism and segregation every day. And one day kind people came to them and said: “you have great power, you can do amazing miracles, you will live among people, who don’t care about your skin tone. But, you know, you need to leave you family and friends in this terrible conditions, you can’t help them or see them ever again. Cool, right?” And now imagine, there wasn't one kid, there were hundreds all over the country. How this is not a problem for MACUSA? How they manage all this angry sad kids who grown up in angry sad adults? I feel like JKR didn’t think about it at all.
