Dean’s been sailing small boats for a long time, basically his entire life. He lives and breathes it, even at this crappy little place. It’s nothing like where he used to be, but that’s alright. He could definitely use a little less of the fast-paced intensity that he’s used to. So what if no one here actually knows what they’re doing, or the boats needed replacement five years ago? But all good things must end, and this slams to a screeching halt when the new guy shows up. He’s another one of those pretentious rich kids (I mean, who else would be named Castiel Fitzroy?), trained at the best place on the East Coast, and absolutely hates Dean with a passion. Which would normally be fine, except it takes two people to sail a boat, and guess who Dean’s new partner is?

When Castiel’s brother signs him up for a surfing lesson, he finds there’s a lot more he can learn from his green-eyed instructor than just how to catch a wave.
They used to be called The Family Winchester. People came from miles around to see their act, knowing their names and faces before the circus even rolled into town. Life was shiny with salt and sawdust, sequins and smiles. Now, all that was left were a few crumpled posters, an empty bunk next to Dean’s, and the leather-gripped knives hidden in the trick pockets of his vest.

He doesn’t plan on meeting Cas Milton but once he does, Dean’s carefully planned year changes.
He should probably stop treating the guy like shit; it wasn’t his fault that Dean was harboring the world’s biggest unrequited crush on him.
Dean is a legacy NASCAR driver, and Castiel is his crew chief of three months who hates him. Or maybe he doesn’t. It’s complicated.
