Off the beaten track, exploring Dartmoor’s forests, rivers and magical cottages.
Haaaaaaaayy.
This photo is from a 10 year old expired Kodak 120 film taken with a Mamiya 645. I am finally getting to grips with this camera and really enjoyed seeing the colours that this film and camera produced!
my forest.
35mm film from poundland- Minolta SLR.
Photoset from a much needed wander in the wild fields in my village. All taken with a dusty old film camera and a £1 film from poundland.
I thought twice about taking this one, but I’m glad I did. I think I should start doing that a little more often but its so hard to think like that when shooting film as I’m always concious of how much each image costs me to develop. The sunlight through the trees ontop of the rocky outcrop looks really nice and I hope that the line throughout the middle of the picture isn’t on the negatives but the scanner I’ve used. Ill check it out..
No watch, no map, no schedule. Bluebells on Dartmoor, May 2015. Taken with an old dusty 35mm film camera.

35mm fuji superia 200 film.
Easily my favourite picture I have taken recently and it is not due to the subject (which is ok but nothing special) but the very strange light leak just left of centre. Its a thin strip that runs up the image and gives it a fantastic reddy tinge. Its so slight and subtle and doesnt burn through the image. I love it and have never really seen an example of this before, but shall be on the look for any other examples!
The magic of Wistman’s Wood, Dartmoor.
Houndtor with a smattering of light leaks.
off the beaten track lies a wind blown tree living amongst the marsh and moss, the backdrop is a fantasticly multicoloured quarry face with shaeds of deep purple and orange.
Taken just before sunset in March.
