They adapted the Greyjoy plotline late. They’re sending Jaime to the Riverlands late. Coldhands appeared late. All I’m saying is fingers crossed that Lady Stoneheart is running a little late too…
Coldhands never appeared. Benjen did. GRRM said that Benjen and Coldhands are not the same person.
The writers/producers have confirmed that, in the show at least, Benjen is Coldhands (even if he never goes by that name). I guess it's easier to change Coldhands to someone we recognise than have him be some lost member of the Nights Watch we've never met...
