The few people he talked to he always seemed agitated with, the man with black hair and piercings, Dabi from your psych class, sneering at each other but always giving a fist bump before parting. The other man seemed much more approachable, sandy blond hair artfully disheveled; he wasn’t quite as tall as the pair before him but had a decent tone to him. He catches you while Dabi and the other man talk, grin spreading across his cheeks before he saunters over.
Too late for you to run away, you straighten and fight the heat climbing up your neck, “Hi,” comes your squeak when he leans against the bookshelf you’re hiding behind.
I loved the soft Shiggy fic about possibly abandoning the life he's in. So I was wondering if I could request a follow up fic about him actually abandoning it ♡

As for this request, I love Mr Compress too and Shigaraki is my husband so naturally this spoke to me. I decided on making it a headcanon but I hope it doesn’t disappoint. Also this is the only picture I could find of the both of them and I love it 😆🤩

+ One is an emotionally stunted man child whose convinced that he lives in a video game.
+ And the other is a magic man whose a less evil version of P. T. Barnum, and an attraction to masks that I assume is a fetish at this point.
+ They could not be less alike.
+ And yet somehow their taste in a partner ended up being the same? Like, what?
+ Let’s talk about these differences.
+ Tomura doesn’t like anyone. Hating everything is kinda his shtick. But he doesn’t hate you? He might even like you?
+ He doesn’t want to date you! He just want to be with you all the time. Listen to you talk. Hold you when he can’t sleep. Smell your hair. But he doesn’t want to be your stupid boyfriend!
+ Tomura’s way of courting you is brief conversations and a lot of staring.
+ Compress however is a grown adult, both mentally and physically, and has probably had an intimate relationship before meeting you.
+ So he actually understands his feelings and actually starts courting you in a more up front way then Tomura’s borderline creepy methods.
+ Compress strikes up conversations with you and acts like a gentleman to win you over.
+ Tomura notices you laughing while telling Compress a funny story, and he realizes that a new challenger has stepped up.
+ His original plan is thrown out.
+ Now his new objective is to win you over before losing you to Compress.
+ Compress is sort of oblivious to this little competition that Tomura has built up in his head. Mainly because he can’t tell the difference between normally creepy Tomura and pining Tomura.
+ But now every interaction is a new level and a chance to win point with you.
+ You’re hungry? Compress offers to go get you something to eat but Tomura hands you your favorite snack. 10 points Shigaraki for thoughtfulness.
+ You’re cold? Tomura orders Dabi to make a fire but Compress gives you his coat. 5 points Compress for generosity.
+ You’re bored? Compress offers to show you a magic trick but Tomura asks you to play video games with him. 5 points Shigaraki for shared interests.
+ You’re sad? Tomura.exe doesn’t understand this file. Compress actually talks with you and offers advice or comfort. 10 points Compress for emotional intelligence.
+ On and on it goes with both of them being tied with no near end in sight.
+ Dabi is the first one to draw attention to Shigaraki’s crush on you to Compress. And then it all clicks when he sees Tomura talk to you or when he talks to you and then Tomura whispers something about “points”.
+ Compress is not interested in having a little competition with an imaginary point system over you.
+ But he’s also a team player, he doesn’t want to have an animosity with Shigaraki— he also doesn’t want to be decayed.
+ So he decides to confront Tomura about this so they can talk like mature adults.
+ Unfortunately Tomura isn’t a mature adult.
+ Compress probably gives some impassioned speech about how smitten he is with your gentleness and kindness. How he wants to treasure you and wants you to be happy even if it’s not with him.
+ Tomura just says “same”.
+ So both of them come to a standstill where they both care a lot about you, but what about who you like more?
+ This causes a more subtle tension between the two that whole league is aware of except you somehow.
+ Toga is Team Shigaraki and Dabi and Twice are Team Compress. Spinner is Team Tell-You-About-Their-Crushes-So-It-Can-All-Finally-Be-Over. But they don’t let him because it’s entertaining.
+ Another problem is that no one has a clue which one you have feelings for.
+ It’s clear they’re your favorites in the league because you always protect them even at a risk of your own life.
+ The one thing they can both agree on is keeping you safe and alive.
+ You enjoy talking with both of them and try to hang out with both of them equally.
+ Compress doesn’t mind sharing you if that’s what you would prefer.
+ Tomura doesn’t like sharing, he’s possessive and wants you all to himself.
+ But if that’s the only way be with you...
+ In the end it’s up to you.
