TUNNEL SNAKES RULE.

@gortashshairytits / gortashshairytits.tumblr.com

This is an 18+ blog, peruse at your own risk. I go by Kore, she/her, 21+ years old, ENTP (or INTP, not sure which). I just go wherever the hyperfixation takes me, honestly. Blank and/ageless blogs will be blocked.

Leaving all the things that are wrong with the last chapter, this panel over here is genius.

Over the crumbling ruins of a prison made to keep away all the worst of humanity, the demon lord stands. And Tomura stands just behind him, not as he had imagined tho. He's not free, he's not glorious, he's just in the back, an addition, a decoration. You could erase him from the frame and nothing would truly change, because he's not important in here.

AFO stands widely, spread arms, legs separated, clothes flowing and eyes to the sky. The villains crawl to reach him, fallen at his feet.

Tomura and AFO are not looking at the same direction.

Tomura is tilted to the reader's right while AFO is completely giving him his back, looking at the reader's left. There's not a single full face in here. Everyone is hiding, one way or another. Tomura doesn't look ready to fight, he lacks he usual posture. For me, he looks more passive, waiting. He's not the leader, he's not in control.

While AFO'S palms face the sky like AFO is ready to face the gods himself, Tomura's arms are most resignated. Compared to AFO, he looks small, young. I can't see very well but the thing on Tomura's face look like a hand.

Everything in this frame is screaming how little Tomura matters as a person in here. He's just a weapon, an object, standing quietly while the rest of the figures are filled with dynamic movements. You can see how bad is his body, the cracks over his stomach and chest. The reason why Tomura was fighting is forgotten, because this is AFO's doing, AFO's victory.

AFO's body language says "come to me, my arms are wide open, come, join me".

Tomura's body language says nothing. He's a blank canvas, a robot.

Horikoshi is really making emphasis in how Tomura is just a puppet tied to some threads, not anymore the enthusiastic and challenging leader and king he was before. For me, Tomura looks impossibly sad and lonely in this frame.
