Undercover as lovers is really good and so much stuff can happen with it, like especially if the two ppl don’t get along very much originally but have to get along to do this properly and make it believable and shit and then end up falling for each other for real as their pretending becomes less and less pretend yes
and fake dating ah yes that is so good too, as long as both parties are aware it is fake dating tho bc when like for example one is pretend dating the other bc of a bet or some shit while the other think its real i am not really into that man, like yes it can make a rly good story and stuff but it just makes me dislike the one who is pretending allot especially if its meant to be a sweet story in the end etc, i prefer when its consensual or if its meant to be shitty and unhealthy then ye boi sure i can live with that
But no my fave fake dating is when its two friends where one of them needs a fake date for some reason and the other is like sure i will help you out man, cu’z we friends and stuff. and then lots of shenanigans happens and just how the undercover as lovers one they end up pretending less and less and then be like oh sheit we actually like each other more than just friends and just yes thats my jam man! :D
And I will skip what characters this trope makes me think of and go directly into a ship bc fake dating has always been a trope I really like with my fave Honeyketchup boys aye, its them written all over it where one of them ask the other to help them out and he be all chill and sure I can help you out and then they all pretend date and different feelings happens and they like holy sheit man its just so good and I am all for it!
Undercover lovers tho they don’t make me think of any character really… tho maybe Edge though at the same time not, but its mostly bc he be working police kind of stuff with the guard so it fits him but not the scenario and stuff, and no clue for a ship aye
