Was Phil filming the throat clip? What tour was that on? If so why do they love each other so much that they film weird medical stuff bless

it was when dan was on the american leg of the wad tour and i assume it was rosie or a crew member filming which means it's worse and he sent the video To Phil. because of course he did. phil probably went out and got a throat scan too so they could be in synch

I know you might not have all the info, but just based off what you've observed, is tit selling better than wad? Outside of the uk, I mean.

hard to tell because wad had more shows everywhere, therefore more of them had problems with sales. but right now Europe looks worse than during wad, and i don't see dnp and their team trying to save it via bought ads. lowering ticket prices is nice, but they (Phil) also mislead people by saying Europe lowered it to 35 euros. it's not true, and i think it's also illegal to make false statements in advertising :) some venues didn't lower the prices at all, at least for now.

Australia/NZ now look a bit better that wad. fewer shows but more sections of the venues are on sale and they are selling better.

USA/Canada... are complicated. lots of venues are not matching, so i'm not gonna do mental gymnastics and maths today, i'll do it when i have capacities of all new ones, sorry. the ones that ARE matching:

  • Portland (OR), Indianapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Durham, Reading, Red Bank - now better than wad;
  • Oakland - now worse than wad (linking a screenshot from 2022, so you can see it yourself. tbf, looking at it now, i don't think all sections were on sale but i didn't mention it in my post. so, our capacity in 2022 was less than 3040. now though, now everything is on sale);
  • Denver - now better than wad (in 2022 we couldn't see the chart, but by ticket selection, everything was on sale and worse than now, i think);
  • Kansas City - now almost the same as wad, at least for now (there are still 1 month to go);
  • St. Louis, New York, Fort Lauderdale - now a bit better than wad;
  • Tysons - now obviously better, although wad sold out this venue as well;
  • Orlando - now better than wad (if these fuckers aka venue/ticketmaster make "premium" tickets normally priced, it's gonna be sold out).

by matching venues the picture is very hopeful, but if you open each seating chart with available tickets, some are looking scary. even LA isn't half sold, which is very strange to me. but there's still time for everyone except Europe, and USA/Canada has a strong bought advertisement. it's the only leg who is still being promoted on Facebook/Instagram (from Phil's FB), and i see why :) wad had weaker promo, and the Phil factor wasn't there. so, i do think they are gonna be fine even if 10 USA shows lose money.

Different anon but I didn’t know wad didn’t sell out in London? Color me surprised considering that with the new tour they basically sold out three dates there

yeah, 2 London shows weren't even close to being sold out. very weird.

Did WAD sell out any shows? I didn’t go because some promo material said my city was sold out. Did they really fuck up the promotion that bad?

tell me why i need to pull it out of my memory every damn time instead of writing it down somewhere: Amsterdam (evening), Helsinki (evening), Dublin. and i think Montreal, Tysons and Frankfurt eventually got sold out (although the first 2 didn't sell Balconies and Frankfurt stopped selling Balcony and moved everyone closer to the stage. so, i would call it cheating).

if i told anyone something else at some point, get back to me and i'll explain why.

could you tell me what show was "sold out" on promo materials?

i’m wondering how this tour will be in comparison to wad i feel like people forgot how big of a fan base dan and phil have

can compare venue capacities by the end of the tour 🫡

literally impossible to compare attendance because you need to count sold seats for this, and i don't have neither time nor all info to do that. BUT we can compare attendance within venues that are the same for TI and WAD and show seating charts with available seats.

NOTE: WAD had more dates/cities in the UK (since i'm gonna talk about the UK next).

1st data incoming (regarding TI sold out shows): WAD Birmingham wasn't sold out (same venue), WAD London 1 and London 2 weren't sold out (same venue).

Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester have different venues right now (compared to WAD). TI Newcastle and Glasgow – smaller capacity, TI Manchester – bigger capacity. none of WAD shows in these cities were sold out.

i think Dan deleted that draft or whatever it was. even on Google it says 407 posts now.

and he definitely removed a ywgttn reel from his main grid

if anyone is confused or thinks that the removed reel should have decreased his posts count (and it should have), here's what we see on his account right now:

it's 407 everywhere. and you can see here that Google was showing 408 (and you could also see it in DMs).

and Dan removed wad reel

How true do you think this is? Have they really been planning it for this long

okay, i'm gonna say 2 things:

1. it was during the European leg, so after Australia. we established that something changed after Australia and they probably thought about dnp comeback between these 2 legs. so technically, this can be true. (Amsterdam was a clusterfuck, a lot of things were said).

2. if that is true. i don't understand why Martyn let his whole team go in March-April 2023. like, something isn't connecting. and from my pov, there's a lot of miscommunication in dnp's circle.

okay remember for ii there were some dates that were tba when they announced the tour. do you reckon there are any this time round ? but theyre just not telling us till its properly confirmed ? seems unlikely to me because thats just a weird way to do things but also they must know they have audiences in south america and asia

Avatar

yes. there were. and it was such a mess.

with wad there were no tbc dates, but they added Warsaw out of nowhere. and a couple of 2nd shows that they cancelled later (partly). so maybe putting tbc officially isn't a good idea. we will see. there's always hope.

Kate, do you remember how quickly the UK and Ireland shows sold out? Both during wad and ii?

ii – i don't remember shit.

wad – Dublin got sold out eventually, but the venue was small. now it's a different one.

UK – none of the shows were sold out? or maybe one? wad had like 4 or 5 sold out shows as a whole. so, i wouldn't stress THAT much. but also, expect hunger games lmao.

I’m super curious about venue choices. My WAD show was much too large and was maybe 1/3 sold. I would have enjoyed a smaller venue. But how much choice does talent have over that? I think I read somewhere that large venues are somehow more profitable/desirable even if they don’t sell out and that a lot of artists are running into this issue

oh, in Dan's case, he needed a bigger venue because of his circle lights. but it bit him in the ass because he couldn't sell out the vast majority of them. if you think about it, both tatinof and ii needed big venues as well, but those could sell out. we will see how it goes now. but i agree with you. ultimately, wad would feel better in smaller venues. big ones were worse (i know, i've been to a small and big one).

how do u know its a tour? also in 5 months?? did i miss something?

we don't. we're manifesting.

about 5 months. i mean, just look at the dates and the periods between announcements and actual 1st tour dates. approximately: tatinof – 6 months, ii – 5 months, wad – 4 months. actually, this is a very concerning progression. following it, the next tour is gonna have 3 months gap. which is October 2024, which is, fuck you, dnp.
