☀️ About me ☀️

Hi I’m Melinoë an adult Hellenic polytheist. I have been practicing a good few years now. I end up more on the side of modernism/reconstruction, yet still incorporating sections of traditionalism in my practice.

I use the term priestess to denote my devotion to Apollo, I consider him to be my patron deity and my strongest connection to gods. I don’t claim to be any spiritual leader, this status is solely my personal path of devotion to Apollo as my main deity. Although I would be honoured to assist anyone with making an connection with Apollo as helping others in this faith is very close to my devotion to Apollo.

As of the time of writing/updating this (2024) I currently honour 5 deities on a close and personal level. The deities that I have personal altars and connection to at the moment aside from Apollo are Hekate, Pan, Athena, Dionysus. i am currently trying to create a relationship with Hestia

I do practice forms of witchcraft as a subsection of my Polytheist practice overall, specifically in regards to my paths with Hekate and Pan.

Dms are open, I’d love to chat! Just be respectful overall, thank you!

DNI/DNF: racists,homophobes,transphobes,TERFS/gender critical, pedos etc, god spouse/godpartner/implying you are dating or having relations with a deity, those who see the gods as “energies we draw from”/ anything less than true divine beings/those who try to exclude people from Hellenism.

Do you think Apollo is warm to hug? Like do you think it's comforting? I've been thinking about it a lot. Could really do with an Apollo hug right now.

You can find Aphrodite when you gush over romcoms. You can find Zeus when the rain pours and soaks your hair. You can find Hera when you're loyal to your friends and partners. You can find Ares when you argue with your parents over the causes you believe in. You can find Apollo when the sun caresses your cheek.

The gods are everywhere—you just need to know where to look.

FIVE YEARS WITH THE GODS: what I've learned

  • Don't fixate on the notion of being "called" by a particular deity or "claimed" by them. It'll only lead to confusion, misinterpretation, or disappointment. Instead, pay attention to your gut. What feels right? What names, symbols, or spheres of influence resonate with you or intrigue you?
  • Sometimes, we are presented with or drawn to gods we may not expect. In this case, we often need to look past the superficial aspects of a deity to understand why we feel drawn to them.
  • You will develop an insatiable appetite for knowledge, but let yourself digest information and experiences before proceeding to something new. Set aside time to reflect on your learning. Journaling is the perfect complement to research.
  • Make sense of your own perceptions and ideas before digging too deeply into the perceptions of others.
  • Our paths will inevitably wander into unfamiliar fields. Enjoy the journey. Make room for new modes of belief.
  • You will feel like a beginner for a long time. This is a good sign; it means you're growing something profound...and staying humble.
  • You are almost always overthinking things.
  • Feeling stressed out over your spirituality is not a good sign. Adjust accordingly and convey your thoughts to the gods as you go.
  • It's okay to release a deity from your practice. This does not make you a failure or a terrible person. Relationships change, and so do you.
  • You will need breaks from your practice. Spirituality is not a side hustle; let go of your guilt and rest.
  • Doubt and skepticism will be steadfast companions on your journey. Question everything.
  • In the end, your path belongs to you alone. No one else has power over what you practice.

Hekáte, hear our song,

We offer our voices to the Liminal so You may hear our devotion to You.

Send us signs, dear Goddess, let Your mysteries be revealed.

May we be worthy of Your call, to find You in the truth of our purpose,

Hail Hekáte, of the Dark and Light, hail Hekáte, of the Crossroads, hail Hekáte, Queen of Witches!
