i'm saying this again but if you're an akane fan talking about oshi no ko and the crux of your analysis revolves around shitting on kana then maybe you aren't actually as big of an akane fan as you like to think lol
Anyways, I do have like 2 OnK essays I wanna make. One about what my initial theory was about Crow Girl + Hoshino Family (and what I wish we got), along with a tweaked version of the Private arc that I think would have enhanced it a lot more

Akane won this, Ruby won that. Mem won by staying in her lane and out of y'all's business.

The Public: WTF, Ruby-chan is related to a murderer? I can NEVER support her now. She's forever tainted to me!
Ruby's idol career: *evaporates overnight*
Hikaru: Oh good, Ruby won't surpass Ai. Now I don't have to kill her anymore.
So Hikaru never targets Ruby again, and Aqua lives. Everyone moves forward happily while Ruby tries a new career out.

I'm pretty surprised that Doga Kobo has put so much passion into the anime, despite knowing the ending (Mephisto).
I would love it if they explain to me in a future interview or Behind-the-Scenes on why the ending is actually good TM, so that I can understand it too 💀
The main thing I liked in the final chapter were these pages with Kana and Mem
Since during Main Stay and Scandal, Mem was there for Kana at her lowest so its nice to see Kana try to support her:
OnK's ending reminds me of Magia Record's anime's ending where the tone is consistently "normal" until it suddenly swerves to misery in the last 5% 💀
Now we cope that the anime will fix everything lol

My favorite type of scam is where someone makes an account impersonating a famous person on social media, and then just goes into DMs and asks for money while also saying a "catchphrase" in a weird attempt to make themselves look legit

someday i will write and post my 10,000 page thesis essay about how in miraculous the yin themed characters (characters who wear primarily dark colors over white undershirts) are thoughtful schemers who live mostly within their own heads (marinette, luka, felix, amelie) while the yang themed characters (white over dark undershirts) don't think so much as they DO and are straightforward and action-driven (adrien, kagami, emilie) but that would require having the attention span to do so
I have 2 asks about Kana's graduation sitting in my inbox that I totally forgot to answer because I got so blindsided by Aqua's suicide lol...
It's pretty saddening that most people's reaction to Aqua's suicide is to slam him for being a selfish idiot rather than feel sympathy that he was written to be suicidal since he was 4, never got the chance to recover, and died a painful death while thinking he was worth less than Ruby's idol career 😭
Like rather than argue about which best girl he made suffer the most because of his death, I think Aqua got the worst end out of his OWN death...
