Great art is great!
Art prompts | First one is from @puddle–wonderful: “Josephine putting her hair up in the morning”. I’ve been wanting to draw Josie for quite a long time, thank you ♥
Ooooh! I love this!
Thank you advisors for all your hard work !! ♡
I totally agree!
I let my Quizzy scout through the Hissing Wastes before I started the whole Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts event. My Quizzy is a light skinned elf who would probably get the worst sunburn right before the most important event in which perfection is everything.
I feel ya Inquisitor!!!
Dragon Age Inquisition Headcanons:
Nightwears - Companions & Advisors
(some parts can be considered nsfw-ish, I guess?)
Cassandra: she sleeps with an old pair of cotton trousers and a linen shirt one or two sizes bigger than hers. Her nightwears have to be practical, allowing her to bolt out from her bedroll in case of need or sudden attack. However, one of her best - kept secrets is a silken nightgown, very short and with a very low neckline that she saw once in Orlais. The shop was full of delicate garments and she was tempted to buy one, but she thought they were unsuitable and too frivolous for a warrior. The next day, she found the silken nightgown in her closet with a witty note from Leliana.
Romanced: she uses that garment to seduce the Inquisitor once their intimate relationship started. She lets him look at her, barking that she’s getting cold and she’s surely ridiculous, but she wants his opinion. His enthusiastic reaction makes her wear that nightgown more often.
The Iron Bull: he sleeps naked both in a tent and in Skyhold, point. He has no concern to have to jump out of the bed. He can face enemies fully undressed without flinching. To fight, he just needs his weapon, that always lays next to his bedroll. He makes sure to have an extra couple of blankets if he’s in a very cold place, and even if he shares a tent he’s not embarrassed to sleep without clothes, as long as the other person is fine with that.
Romanced: the Inquisitor always jokes about giving him a sleepwear, sooner or later, but Bull chuckles, knowing that they appreciate his lack of modesty. When the Inquisitor jokingly asks what type of sleepwear could tempt him, Bull winks and describes something made with more leather and chains than actual cloth.
Blackwall: he sleeps shirtless, but with an old pair of soft trousers on, plus a couple of socks he uses just for bed. He would hardly admit that, but he’s very fond of those socks he bought a long time ago. Despite being washed regularly, they have been mend many times by him. Every once in a while, he swears to buy a new pair, but he can’t find anything as soft as they are - or with the same shade of mustard yellow. He doesn’t like sleeping naked since someone could walk in.
Romanced: the Inquisitor finds actually amusing and a bit cute Blackwall’s affection towards an old pair of socks. She reassures him it’s a good thing he sleeps in that way since those fluffy things are perfect to warm up her cold feet.
Solas: he sleeps wearing a soft long-sleeved shirt and a short pair of trousers. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by cold or hot weather, never changing his outfit. Sometimes, if the inspiration hits him in the middle of the night, he paints in his nightwear, carefully trying to avoid any stain of paint and failing every time, waking up with blue and red and yellow spots on his shirt.
Romanced: he likes talking with the Inquisitor when they lay under the sheets. He scoffs when she chuckles about how soft the shirt is, but he also wonders if gifting her with one of his tunics would be too sappy.
Vivienne: she has quite a collection of nightgowns and nighties. Some of them she bought in Val Royeaux, others she designed personally for her seamstress to sew, and others are precious gifts from Bastienne. Every single one of her nightclothes is a masterpiece of silk and lace, an elegant triumph of silver or dark blue or white shades and ample sleeves or long hems encrusted with gems. She knows fighting in her night clothes won’t be a nuisance. She already did it once or twice.
Dorian: he sleeps shirtless, wearing just a comfortable pair of ample trousers, made of an obscenely expensive silk from Tevinter. He owns a few pairs of them, in different shades of gold and silver. They’re very soft, very expensive and very him. His true obsession, however, is the slippers, the ones that Rivaine, Tevene and Antivan use. Exquisite creations made of the finest leather, comfortable to walk around in the chambers, but also to lay down on the sofa reading a book. He has a few pairs, with different gems and embroidery for every season.
Romanced: he commissions a pair for the Inquisitor too, as soon as his Amatus recovers himself from the shock of their price. However, since they start to sleep together, Dorian discovers the joy to sleep naked, skin against skin with his beloved.
Varric: he doesn’t like sleeping naked. Bartrand had the habit to interrupt his sleep with this or that idea or just with drunk jokes, and Varric hated to get caught naked. Varric bought some pairs of comfortable dark cotton trousers in Kirkwall and, since then, he always buys them from the same merchant. He likes sleeping with just his trousers on, not his underwear, whatever weather it’s outside. Once, Bianca sent him a pair of luxurious pajama pants, a delicate thing he never uses. However, he keeps it in the closet, looking at them when he wants to brood a little.
Sera: she wears a huge shirt with more holes than cloth. It’s a thing that maybe once was red or dark pink, impossible to say. She grins that the colors don’t matter as long as it’s cozy and warm. She hates being cold and her improvised nightgown is the best thing she has found during her journeys. She refuses to wear anything else. If the weather is warm enough, she sleeps just in her panties or she simply takes off her breeches.
Romanced: she is delighted to sleep naked as close as she can to the Inquisitor, even if her lover’s breath is ticklish against her skin. It doesn’t matter, she keeps Sera warm enough. Sera offers to find a cozy shirt for the Quizzy too if she wants. One that matches hers.
Cole: he doesn’t sleep - not how normal humans do that - so he doesn’t own proper clothes for the night time. He tries to take his shoes off, but he’s adamant that the hat stays on his head. Ha takes care to clean with magic his clothes before laying down in his bedroll.
Romanced (with Maryden): he takes off his hat because she likes hugging him and he likes being hugged by her. The hat rests on his pillow anyway.
Josephine: she wears the most delicate, gorgeous cotton pajama. Despite the common belief, she doesn’t like sleeping covered in silk. Her pajama has puffy sleeves, dozens of ribbons everywhere and a short pair of embroidered trousers. She has different models, all quite similar to each other, in vibrant colors that remind her of her homeland. As Dorian, she too has bedroom slippers, two tiny things bordered with pink fur.
Romanced: she is delighted to pirouette for the Inquisitor, once they insist on seeing how much the vaporous shirt can twirl around her body. She likes having the Inquisitor naked in her arms, but she prefers wearing at least her shirt before falling asleep.
Cullen: Templars weren’t encouraged to sleep naked - they needed to be ready in case of emergency as quickly as they could - but for him, it’s a relief being allowed to sleep totally naked now. He has never suffered the cold weather and the fresh air is a relief against his skin, especially when he’s not feeling well. Light fevers are one of the many aspects of lyrium withdrawals. He also likes feeling the cotton of the sheet against his skin and being able to adjust the temperature around him simply covering himself with it or kicking it away.
Romanced: he discovers quite soon that his beloved Inquisitor is not bothered by his nudity at all. Cullen loves sleeping holding her in his arms, her warm body the best antidote against night terrors. He loves even more when he’s the little spoon, being cradled in her arms, skin against skin, safe and loved.
Leliana: she sleeps with a short nightgown on. Once she used to love flowing nightgowns, and she still owns a huge collection in her wardrobe. Right now, however, she favors something that allows her to jump out of the bed swiftly, but which hides the dagger wrapped around one of her thighs. It’s a beautiful nightgown, however, a dark purple masterpiece of lace with thin shoulders straps. She wonders if she should buy another one, in black this time. Josephine gives her one to celebrate the victory of the Inquisition.

EPIC!!!
Headcanons - Kissing Inquisition Members (friendship):
-Dorian arches his eyebrow and grins “Well, that was unexpected. You know, in Tevinter we prefer shooting spells, as a sign of affection. But I think your method is not so bad.” and he kisses you back, your laughters echoing in all the rotunda.
- Varric is surprised and not a little, by the quick peck on his cheek during a Wicked Grace match “Your Inquisitorialness, your cards must be very bad if you have to use your charm!”. But he smiles, not a grin a proper smile, and shakes his head, patting on your arm “Your turn.”.
- Cassandra blushes “That was…?Well, I suppose I should thank you.”. She clears her throat, shifting a little, but then she smiles “You’re really an unusual person, I’m glad I can call you my friend.
- Vivienne looks at you, sternly “And what was that, my dear?”. She sighs, shooing you away with a delicate movement of her hand, and she sits again on her sofa, a heavy volume already open, the only witness of the sincere smile which blooms on her face.
- The Iron Bull roars a laughter and puts his arm on your shoulders, giving you at the same time a huge cup of… something, and squeezing you almost painfully “Well ,thank you, boss! Here, have a toast with us!”. He grinns at you and drags you with him in the centre of the tavern.
- Sera freaks out loudly, at the beginning “Oy, you, what was that?”. She grumbles about strange people who do even stranger things, and she threatens you lightly, before admitting that maybe that wasn’t so bad, after all.
- Cole is surprised, he asks and answers alone “Why?…I see, a fixed point in the middle of the crowd, unseen yet essential, so young despite everything. People sometimes don’t remember, but you wanted to say thank you.”. A brief pause, looking at the Inquisitor from under his hat, with something very close to a smile “You’re welcome.”.
- Blackwall grunts something that could be a laugh or a surprised curse, but when you look at him he laughs openly “Didn’t the beard sting you? Well, then, thank you, it was a nice thing.”. He smiles again, shaking fondly his head and murmuring something to himself.
- Solas looks at the Inquisitor, touching his cheek with painted fingers and leaving a green track on his too thin skin “I suppose I should thank you?”. He seems uncertain, even if not displeased, almost if he couldn’t remind the last time someone showed him such a simple and spontaneous affection.
- Cullen seems shocked and for a moment you fear to have dared too much, but he blushes and smiles, rubbing his neck “Uh, thank you, Inquisitor. That was… very kind.”. He smiles again, his shoulders a little more relaxed and his frown gone, leaving behind a soft happiness.
- Josephine giggles openly, touching her cheek “Inquisitor, this is entirely inappropriate!”. But her bright smile betrays the pretended outrage to the etiquette and she asks you if you have time for a cup of coffee. When the beverage arrives, she’s still smiling.
- Leliana steps back, puckered “Inquisitor?”, her voice a strange mix of puzzlement and coldness. But after a moment, a little smile appears and she bows slightly, a silent thanks, her eyes brighter and she looks at you with more tenderness.
Since today is the International Kissing Day, let’s show some love to our friends. After all, “love ones” has many meanings, right?
Inquisitor: You listen to me, you don’t threaten the Inquisition, because we will fucking destroy you! We’ll skin you like a squirrel, clean you out like a dirty chimney, and wear you like a glove puppet with my fingers sticking out of your dead eyeballs. [pause] Josephine: I cannot endorse that message, but I do acknowledge it.
I’d have loved telling him something like this!!! (I mean, you want to mess with the lovely lady Ambassador? Like, seriously?!)
I’m here for you
Putting shirts on with horns is hard enough. Missing an arm can’t help.
This is so sweet that I'm going to cry!
Happy March 32nd, everyone!
Commander, don’t be shy!!!!!! (bet his things are in Leliana’s office or under Josie’s desk! These two are terrible pranksters!!!!)
Headcanon: Dragon Age Inquisition Romanced Characters during St. Valentine’s day
Cullen: he organizes a wonderful dinner in the gazebo in the garden, after asking Josephine to keep the place just for him and his Inquisitor. The Inquisitor thinks that’s the present, but he smiles, blushing and rubbing his neck, holding out a packet. It’s wrapped simply, with a little bunch of her favorite flowers carefully tied there. “I hope you like it, I wasn’t sure… I can buy you something different if you don’t like it!”. Inside an exquisite leather bag, there is compass “For when you’re far away, so you’ll always find your way back to me.” he explains, smiling while she kisses him.
Cassandra: she blushes furiously, handing out to the Inquisitor a little packet, clumsily wrapped in an adorably cheesy pink paper printed with hearts. “It’s just a little thing.” she mumbles, shifting on her feet “If you don’t like it, tell me. I wasn’t sure what you might prefer.”. It’s a book. A book of love poems. Her own copy. The inscription tells simply “To my beloved.”, but the Inquisitor knows she spent hours thinking about it, pouring all her affection in the words.
Dorian: he gives the Inquisitor his present during the breakfast, as if it isn’t such a matter. But he’s holding his breath, and when his amatus opens his mouth, surprised and delighted, Dorian is radiant. In an elegant jewelry box, there is a solid gold bracelet, composed of two snakes wrapped together “I enchanted it.” Dorian smiles, smug “It’ll keep you warm when you are in cold places and vice versa. And look inside!” he urged. Where he points there is a single word “Together”.
Blackwall: of course he has carved something. It’s a little chest, easily transportable during her travels. He has surely worked for weeks, the Inquisitor realizes, looking at the complicated arabesques carved all over it. “I thought you might like something useful.” he explains, with an embarassed laugh. Inside, the wooden trunk has different compartments, and a secret one that he shows excited. Carefully carved in the precious wood, it’s written “My heart lies in your hands.”.
The Iron Bull: he gives to the Inquisitor two gifts. The first one is for both of them and the Inqusitor smirks seeing the complicated underwear, all laces and buckles. “Well, this is just for you instead, kadan.”. It’s a little dragon, made by a shining ruby. As little as the sculture is, it’s extraordinary detailed, but the Inquisitor can’t recognise the race. Bull smiles “It’s not one of the ones we fought. This is you. Well, you as I think you’d be in that form.”.
Solas: the packet is perfectly wrapped, with a sober cream paper. He smirks, when the Inquisitior opens it, finding an agenda. It’s handcrafted, with the Inquisitor’s favourite flowers dried and pressed on the cover. Inside, he has left some pages for her to full as she prefers, but the others are drawn. Flowers, scene from ancient places, and suddenly her portrait. She’s beautiful, radiant, and he caresses slowly her face “It’s how I see you, venhan.”.
Sera: she is super nervous, almost throwing her present to the Inquisitor. It’s a series of little notes, carefully tied with strings in the Inquisitor’s favorite color, placed inside a basket full of fresh flowers. “Look, I don’t say smoochy things. So I wrote them.” she mutters, blushing. Every note has a compliment or a witty consideration about the Inquisitor. Sera kisses her “I wrote everything I like about you.”.
Josephine: she has a little present, of course, a marvellous embroided new coat for them when they travel, but her true gift is a day to spend together. They have a lovely pic nic full of smiles, kisses and delicious dishes she serves personally. Josephine has made sure to have cooked all the Inquisitor’s favorite foods, as a bottle of the finest Antivan wine is ready to be shared. “I thought the most precious present is giving you a break from our busy life.” she blushes, kissing their cheek.
Josephine Montilyet based on John White Alexander’s painting Althea
Alexander’d be truly proud!
This thing is sappy. I left the fluff free.
Demetra Trevlyan X Cullen Rutherford
“What are you doing?” Cullen smiled, leaning in her touch. Demetra continued to run gently her knuckles on his cheek, savoring the touch of stubble against her pale skin “Just cuddling.” “Well,” he sighed happily, pressing even closer their bodies, naked under the embroided cover “I’m not going to complain.” She knew he wouldn’t. “I missed you.” She knew he did. “I missed you too.” Demetra confessed quietly, trailing her thumb near his lips. He sighed again, resting against the pillow - her pillow, he loved sharing it. “I found your notes.” he spoke after a moment, his arm holding her thightly. Who knew if she reminded to have been worried, a not so long time ago, that she was going to hurt him with her weight? Right now, she was busy checking her Commander ‘s face, enjyoing to see the dark circles under his eyes less evident than other times “Can I dare hope my little messages help you a little?” “They did. A lot. I... had a crisis, a little after your departure.”. She kissed his jaw and he continued “As you surely know, thanks Cassandra.” “I’m not going to say I’m sorry, love, unless you admit you practically ordered Blackwall to be my bodyguard.” “Ah, I...uhm... anyway, I found the note under the pillow the night before, and the dried flowers too.” “Forget - me - nots.” “Yes, forget-me-nots. They smelled heavenly and I put them between the pages of the “Chronicles of Ferelden”. During the withdrawal, however, it had been your words which had helped me more.”.
