So! Leaks of the next 3 chapters of Black Clover Giga release have hit and I have many thoughts

And none of them are good! Frankly, I know I've been losing a LOT of interest in BC due to the scheduling, but honestly, what is IN the actual releases/chapters have been... disappointing.

And I say this because it's a fucking tragedy how Black Clover went from being incredible in Elf arc to tripping into the narrative pitfalls in the Final Arc almost every release. Like many people KNOW Black Clover can be good, we've seen it be good! But you can't deny that it has been limping in its performance ever since Spade Raid Arc, be it in pacing or development of the story.

And the recent Giga Releases are NOT helping the story in any way. The current lineup of chapters (369-376) are more so just hammering stuff in from what was established back in the Jump Releases, with very little actual development or new conclusions.

Recent leaks have been HELLA disappointing because while the art is INCREDIBLE, the story telling is lacking in world building, exposition and good character arc conclusions.

I know this will piss off a lot of people but there is legitimately a lot of loose ends that are simply not covered anymore. The entire devil lineup and build up for devil lore that was supposed to happen in Spade arc got scrapped. The Megicula Silva conflict was not even mentioned or changed with Megicula not even being acknowledged or Papa Silva even showing up, the only thing that was developed was Solid and Nebra apologising, and even that was rushed. We got cheated out of Vanessa and Grey and Noelle team up. Mereoleona's character development was last minute and wasn't developed properly enough. The only people winning were the homosexual fight maniacs Magna and Luck.

I had a whole rant ready for the Sulva family release back in August but I chose not to because I value my peace and nerves and why rant about it when I could just destroy a 6 pack of long drink and forget about it.

Don't even get me STARTED on this release which didn't change anything about Nacht's character development if not outright self destructing it. Morgen didn't even do anything insane, acting like a coked up twink high off poppers. Nacht got two transformations and only one of them slayed. Yami's transformation was simply bare minimum bara fanservice. Ichika had TWO moments. Lucifugus got mentioned ONCE and never again! And even then it was in a flashback! What!

Don't get me started on the last panel, like are you kidding me, you're telling me there's a real possibility the next issue will have the same fight AGAIN? Lord have mercy, the fall off is DEBILITATING.

And make no mistake, I hate to be a hater and this is my main reaction after the leaks, it might actually change after the official release but... God... its tragic how a good manga like Black Clover fell off because the potential was very much there and it showed IT COULD DELIVER! And then it rotted over due to getting into the spotlight and thus shounen jump is gutting the story value for flashy fights and retroactive character arcs.

I am saddened, my day is ruined and I fear I may never actually get back into this manga, even with the (possible) January release.

My one statement before the new 3 chapters drop:

The current premise that the Yami, Ichika, Nacht vs Morgen fight has dictates that Lucifugus must ABSOLUTELY be brought up, because frankly there is no better setup in the current lineup to NOT bring him up.

Assuming dark magic in the Yami clan and them having devil lineage is because of Lucifugus, it could give introspection about Yamis clan, the massacre, the history and tie ins to the shogun.

Combined with how, assuming that devil worshipping families all have a devil they primarily offer stuff up to (Megicula to the Agrippas, Astaroth/the evil trinity to the Zogratis), then it could be said that Lucifugus would have both the Yami clan and the Faust family worship him, hence why the Yami clan had the devil pills and the Fausts had a relic to summon Lucifugus with. Thus combining both families in the narrative.

And to top it all off, we have Morgen, the black sheep of the family, now having the magic of the devil that killed his family and then later himself, going against his brother and his ex boyfriend and his would-have-been sister-in-law. Like Lucifugus and the devil worshipping agenda has to come up here, either for emotional moments or just straight to know how to defeat Morgen/what weakness Lucifugus had.

If Tabata doesn't put his ass in the chapter, I will have nothing to defend Tabata with and I WILL be ragging his ass from here on out. Cause how do you miss putting something important like that in the chapter specifically caused by the thing in mind
