S02E03 Gabe Report

The Last Laugh

Since most of the episode is about Jerome and co., we don’t even see Oswald until the last few minutes. And surprise, Gabe is there with his first appearance of the season!

Oswald is watching the whole gala thing on the news, a glass of wine in hand and what looks like a fabulous meal in front of him. 

Oswald: See someone like that has no interest in building things. He’s not part of a tradition. 

It looks like he’s speaking to Gabe. Gabe you could learn a thing or two from me, wise mobster that I am.

Gabe accompanies Oswald to a bar Oswald wants to buy. Lidia is having none of it. Neither is Gabe. He has to take her rolling pin away.

S01E16 Gabe Report

The Blind Fortuneteller

I s2g this is Gabe’s only scene, playing poker while Oswald plays Heart & Soul on the piano.

Gabe shakes his head. Looks like he lost that hand! 

And that’s it. I don’t even have anything to speculate on, except that it’s kinda cute that Penguin is playing piano and they’re all chilling and enjoying it.

First page. Omg, I’m very satisfied with the colours (I’m not very good at colouring, but this I like it). Remember, the story takes place between seasons, while Oswald is ruling his mob empire (before Galavan).

I’ll be tagging all pages with ‘boaf comic gotham’ so they’ll be easy to find in order once I have all of them posted. I’ll try to update every week.

The Scarecrow

I have a feeling this is gonna be one of those mostly background Gabe episodes. 

Oswald tells Falcone all about his scary time almost being crushed in a car. Falcone’s all, get this place cleaned up.

Falcone: Is that blood?

Falcone: TIME TO REDECORATE Penguin: Listen to meee, I was almost killed, Maroni’s out to get me!

Maroni and his gang are eating at Maroni’s restaurant. He’s telling some story about torturing someone, and Gabe seems to think it’s hilarious.

Oswald gets a call from Falcone saying Liza’s been taken and he excuses himself, saying his mother is sick.

S01E10 Gabe Report

Lovecraft: 

After Oswald has a little meeting with Falcone, there is a scene where Gabe is driving Oswald home or to wherever. 

Just take a moment to look at that pretty car.

Gabe: I don’t get it. Penguin: You, Gabe, not get it? Quelle suprise. (thus begins one of many rude comments to Gabe by Oswald) Gabe:

Penguin: What, prey, don’t you get? Gabe: Why not just tell Falcone the truth? It was that Liza girl that betrayed him. Penguin: Timing, Gabriel. Timing is everything. And Liza is a time bomb. Just wait awhile. Then watch and learn. 

Aww, is Oswald playing mentor? He’s certainly put his trust in Gabe enough to tell him about Liza. Is it that he just thinks Gabe is too stupid to do anything with such information? Or does he just pay him that much?

Well that was his only scene in this episode. This is why I do it folks, it’s much easier than talking about, say, Ed, for each episode.

Gabe was walking up the stairs behind Oswald in case he stumbled (which I honestly thought he was gonna once and Gabe would catch him and Oswald would nod his thanks or Gabe would carry him the rest of the way). 

LOOK HE ALMOST FELL FLAT ON HIS FACE

Gabe had no lines.

This week Gabe’s job is being Oswald’s doorman. And also badass henchman.

All in all, far too little Gabe for this episode.
