This boy was mad shy before confessing to you
Everything would have started as a formal teammate relationship
That soon became into a wonderfull friendship as you grew closer
And it didn't take long until he developed a crush on you
You were always nice to him and always offered your comfort when he got frustrated
You never doubted his decisions, and were always honest, ready to tell him when he was cleaarly making a mistake
But even then, you always stayed loyal to him and never left his side during difficult situations
So one day, after you had been listening to all of his worries
You were sitting down inside a warm caffe, the sound of the rain in the background and your voices almost a whisper
And right out of nowhere he just let it out, afraid he would lose the opportunity to tell you

''I know I've talked too much today and you're probably not even listening to me anymore, but the thing is that I love you. I love how you lift me up, and how you're always there, and you I can just smile at the thought of you, and how everything seems a little less bad when you're around.''

No one can't tell me Steve isn't the biggest romantic ever
Like, even before dating you he'll treat you with such respect
But once you two are dating, he'll treat you like his queen
Loves dates to the cinema, where you watch the new movies coming out
And having a marathon of the previous movies at home, meanwhile you put your best effort into explaining him the plot and backstory of the characters
Even though he isn't paying attention at all cause wow you look so pretty to him
If you're part of the Avengers, he'll be quite strict with you
He's already protective of you when you're not in a mission
But when it comes to missions, he becomes real serious about your safety
Not that he mistrusts you, he knows you're capable of looking after yourself
And he doesn't mean to offend you in any way, as he always tries to treat every avenger the same way
But everyone knows that you're just his weakness
Because an accident could happen, something that wasn't under his control, and he would feel like it was his fault
So he won't stop repeating you to stay close to him and obey all of his orders
Of course sometimes you get a little reckless and push yourself to the limit, taking small risks for the good of the team
He always scolds you, ‘cause deep down he's so scared that would have gotten hurt
But at the same time he admires your courage and will always remind you of it
Also, he's the most LOYAL man out there for sure
I mean, once he's fallen in love and found the girl, there's no one else that can come in between you
I think he can be a bit of a jealous guy, but not something extreme
Like if there was a boy clearly flirting with you, he'd probably rise his eyebrow, tighten his jaw and stand with his broad shoulders behind you, creeping on the guy until he leaves awkwardly
Steve would love to draw you whenever he has free time
Wether it's a painting or a simple sketch, he'd enjoy putting you into a paper and then gifting some of them to you
But he keeps his favourites in his room, and looks at them before going to bed or when he misses you
This boy would trust you so much he'd put his life in your hands if you asked to
He'd really want you to get along with Bucky
You two are the most important people in his life, and he wants his best-friend and lover to be on good terms
He'd tell you stories from the 40's, how Bucky used to be always by his side and how Hydra took him away
So you'd be determined to fight for Bucky next to Steve, beause you can see how important this is for him
You'd become a confident of Bucky too
Steve would love to see you two bonding so well and helping each other
Bucky and Natasha ship you both so hard
Basically power couple
Training together so much that you can predict each other's movements
It is quite a scene to see you fight enemies together as it almost looks like you're communicating through your mind
Also he loves to take you out dancing and teach you old moves
I see him as the type of guy who'd laugh at your jokes no mater how bad they were
Or that he didn't get them
Just to see you smile
This boy will make you feel so special and unique, because you are so precious to him
He will think seriously about proposing to you
He's already spend too much time frozen and missed so many things
But you make him feel young and ready to face life as it comes
He knows he wants to spend the rest of his years waking up to your beautiful face every morning

Pre-serum Steve Rogers Falling In Love Headcanons

Ok I have a soft spot for tiny Steve
Let’s say you were his neighbour when you met him
Never really paid any attention to him
Although he thought you were beautiful and smart, and wished that he could become your friend
But of course he didn’t think you’d like him, and somehow felt intimidated by you
That is until one day you were coming back from your grandma’s house
It was quite late and the sky was getting darker, so you hurried your speed to get home as soon as possible
But you stopped in your tracks when you heard some muffled voices, along with beating sounds followed by a low cry
Following the sound, you discovered a pair of boys beating up someone
At first you thought about leaving, that was none of your business and intervining could get you in trouble
But that face looked really familiar, and after a couple of seconds, you realised it was one of your neighbours
You had never spoken more than a couple of sentences to him, yet you couldn’t leave him there, as the boys didn’t seem to care beating him up until unconsciousness
Gathering all your courage, you positioned yourself in front of Steve fully aware of the danger
The boys tried to get rid of you but you stood up to them

“You can’t just hit people because they’re weaker than you, what does that make you? Someone who beats up those below him, because he ain’t got the guts to face those above? You cowards, better leave this boy or else I’ll call for help and make sure you pay in the same coin.”

“Aw sweet lady, and who’d you call? Your daddy? Your brother? Oh no, wait! Your magnificent boyfriend?”

At that moment someone appeared in your help ~~(as in the gods had answered your prayers)~~
The blue-eyed brunette boy didn’t wait to release a punch, and soon the pair of guys were running down the alley
After learning his name was Bucky Barnes and that he was Steve’s friend, you both took Steve back to his house
He thanked you for your help, and you promised you’d keep an eye on Steve from now on
The next morning you tried to visit Steve to see how he was but no one answered the door
So you were about to leave and come back later when you saw a slim figure running towards you
It was Steve, with some deep bruises on his face, hyperventilating from the run and holding something behind his back
You told him you had wanted to check up on him after last night, and he explained how he was really grateful about what you did
And how Bucky had given him the classic idea of giving you flowers to thank you, but he had no flowers and had had to run his butt off to buy some

“Steve, a simple thanks works fine. You didn’t have to force yourself this much being hurt.”

“And you didn’t have to risk yourself to help me last night, yet you did even if it wasn’t your bussiness. You deserve way more than these flowers.”

You blushed at his words, shyly taking the flowers with a smile, and Steve felt his heartbeat increase
That same day, Bucky and Steve knocked at your door, inviting you to the Stark’s exhibition

“Lovely Y/N, Steve just told me you like science since he saw you once reading a book about engineering from his window, so I thought ‘Why not bring Y/N with us?’ And here we are, hoping you’ll accept, right Rogers?”

Steve is a blushing mess but still manages to nod, and you happily accept smiling at him
That night you have so much fun with him, and even though Steve is really really nervous, he feels chills whenever you’re around
You feel bad that Bucky is taking all the girls’ attention, and wonder if it’s always been that they’ve underestimated Steve
But at the same time you’re glad you’re the one who gets to spend time with him and have all of his attention
Steve though doesn’t even think of any other girls, as he can’t believe you’re there with him, your arm linked with his and laughing wholeheartedly at one of his jokes
From that day, you become a usual companion of him and Bucky
And they both love you lots, but Steve is the one who goes out of his way for you
He’ll try to take care of you as much as he can
Making sure you’re smiling whenever he sees you’re down, even if that means making a fool of himself
Will make it a tradition to give you flowers once a week ever since you two became friends
Probably asks Bucky to look out for you and protect you with his strength as he’s not as muscular as him
Even though Steve would fight anyone at any costs to protect you, not even thinking about him getting hurt

“You know I can’t throw a punch for real, Buck. And I would gladly use my fists on anyone who dared to hurt her, but it’d be a miracle if I touched their face. What I mean is that, I wouldn’t stand if anything happened to her… I think I love her, Buck.”

You’re against him going to the army
It breaks his heart to see you cry when you hear the news as he can’t stand being the reason behind your tears
You even try to talk to Bucky so he can take the idea out of his mind, or stop him from doing such madness
You give him the silent treatment when he doesn’t back down, until Bucky literally enters your house and demands you to talk to Steve cause it scares him how decayed he is
You apologise for your behaviour and confess how scared you are for what could happen
You hug him tightly and hide your face in his chest so he won’t see your tears
Steve kind of freezes, but his romantic instinct kicks in and starts to caress your hair while kissing your forehead

“Damn it Steve, this is war we’re talking about. Anything could happen to you, and what would I do? No, I don’t want you to look at me with pity, I just want you to be safe. Just make sure you come back to me, you idiot. Please. Come back.”
