Michelle's Water Panel - Take II
This spring I made a similar panel for a birthday gift. They couldn't decide where to hang it, so they commissioned an additional one (pictured).
The Abyss Table is a stunning coffee table that mimics the depths of the ocean with stacked layers of wood and glass. Made by London-based furniture design company Duffy London, the limited-edition piece comes with the hefty price tag of £5,800 (nearly $10,000).

This is fabulous! ... my dream table.
Michelle's Water panel - by Glitz & Grandeur - completed.
While cutting some of the textured clear glass for Michelle's Water panel, I was reminded of just how much I LOVE the play of sunlight on glass. (So much so that I had to stop and photograph it.)
TWO STORY STAIRCASE - By Brian McNally Glass Artist, California, USA - Size: 8"w x 40"h Each - via Trade Only Design Library
"Water" panels - finished! Water VI & Water V in my series were designed to hang in the bathroom window(s) of a lovely family in Madison, Wisconsin.
"Water" panels, work in progress - Both panels have now been soldered, front and back. Cut the zinc came to frame the panels. Next, the frame will be soldered, then the hangers and chain attached. These panels are not going to be patinaed so just a good cleaning/polish and they'll be completed.
"Water" panels, work in progress - once the holes were cut out for the glass globs to fit into, everything was foiled. I just love the way a panel looks at this stage ... wish that it could remain just like this with the thin shiney copper foil lines.

Wave Fused Glass Insert stained glass panel by Glitz & Grandeur
This is the other fused glass piece that was being worked on in earlier posts. It's framed all around by glass globs, textured glass and bevels. I like the framing of this one slightly better than the one posted prior, but it's a bit more tedious to foil, layout and solder around all those glass globs.
One of the fused glass insert panels, completed. This one is outlined in a beautiful dark purple/blue/green/white stipple glass with a column of glass and glass globs on each side. Two different types and shades of blue, ripple textured glass has been used, along with a teal spectrum. Textured clears outline everything and dual rows of bevels line the top and bottom.
