Matt set his cell phone back down on the table and pushed it away from him. His mind began to think about y/n, and how he, nor Kelly, or anyone heard from y/n in a couple of days. He was beginning to get worried.
Kelly walked up, knocking on the door of Matt’s office. “Have you tried calling y/n again?”
“Yeah, and there’s no answer.” Matt paused. “I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a bad feeling.”
“Do you think we need to get intelligence involved?”
Matt followed Kelly outside to his car. The drive over to the 21st district was rather short. Pulling up and walking inside, Matt and Kelly walked up to the front desk, dodging busy officers. Trudy looked up, “How can I help you two?”
“We need to talk to Voight,” Matt paused. “It’s about y/n.”
Trudy stopped dead in her place. She wouldn’t admit it, but she had a soft spot in her heart for y/n. To be honest, y/n was her favorite firefighter. “Come with me,”
Matt and Kelly followed Trudy up the stairs to intelligence. Trudy coughed, getting everyone’s attention. “Voight... it’s important,”
“We believe something happened to y/n. No one has heard from her in a couple of days. It isn’t like her to not show up for work,” Kelly said, stepping forward.
“Have you tried calling her?”
“Multiple times, and she never picks up,”
“Halstead Dawson head over to y/n’s home with them and see what you can find,”
The house was a complete mess when the four walked in. Some furniture was overturned, glass from various things covered the floor and the vase Sylvie made for y/n was broke.
“Looks like y/n put up a fight,” Jay said, walking through the living room. He gazed at the bookcase and noted that some books were missing. He assumed that y/n threw them at whoever broke into the house.
Antonio walked down the hall and into the kitchen. When he walked in, there were several broken dishes on the floor along with a bloody knife. “Jay we got a knife,”
“That isn’t y/n’s blood is it?” Matt asked, walking into the kitchen with Jay and Kelly.
“I don’t know, but whoever’s blood this is left a pool of it on the floor with a footprint in it,” Antonio took a picture of the bloody footprint and sent it to Adam. Hopefully, the footprint will tell them something.
The four of them walked through the house, occasionally stopping to look at things that were out of place. Walking into y/n’s bedroom, Kelly noticed something on her nightstand. “Hey, there’s a note,”
Jay picked up the note, “She’s beautiful and bright as the sun. I love her, and only her. And if I can’t have her, then none of you can,” He read aloud. Looking over at Matt and Kelly, “Do you know anyone that could’ve written this?”
“The only person I can think of is Jason. She dated him for eight months and left him when he started getting abusive towards her,”
“Let’s find out where Jason is and bring him in,” Antonio said, raising an eyebrow.
“It’s about time you woke up, my darling,” Jason walked back and forth in front of her.
“What do you want with me?”
“Isn’t obvious? I wanted you back, so I sent Thomas to get you,”
“You’re sick! You need help Jason!” She shouted. She tried to move her hands, but they were tied behind her. Her attempt to undo the binds only made her wrists red and raw.
“The only thing I need is you sweetheart,” Jason gently caressed her face, smiling wickedly at her. Y/n responded by spitting in his face. Jason laughed sinisterly before roughly grabbing a handful of her hair. “That wasn’t very nice sweetheart, and for that I’m going to punish you.”
Jason landed a punch across her face. Her head snapped harshly to the right, and the chair she was in fell to the floor. He then kicked her repeatedly in the chest and torso. After that, he grabbed the side of her head and smashed it against the concrete. But with her hands tied behind her, she couldn't do anything to fight back. She felt helpless.
Her head was throbbing. She assumed she’d have some sort of head injury like a concussion. The pain in her chest and torso was unbearable. Black spots were starting to cloud her vision. And as she passed out, Jason got on the floor and screamed in her face, “You’re mine and only mine do you hear me?”
She awoke to hear shouting and gunshots. When the shouting and gunshots ceased, the door to the room she was in opened.
“She’s in here,” Jay shouted. He raced over and crouched down to undo the ropes. He placed two fingers on her neck and barely felt a pulse. Quickly, he pulled out his phone and dialed 911. “This is Detective Halstead. We need an ambo to the abandoned warehouse on Wayfield street.”
“Don’t move. The ambulance is on the way,”
Everything moved quickly. She was loaded onto a stretcher and placed in the back of the ambulance. The last thing she remembers before she passed out again was Jay looking down at her.
Kelly walked in y/n’s room and saw Matt sitting at y/n’s bedside. “You like her don’t you?”
“She’s intelligent, compassionate, funny, but she’s definitely not afraid to speak what’s on her mind. Wait... How’d you know?”
“Whenever someone mentions her or says her name, your ears perk up in interest. You constantly worry about her whenever we get a call. And besides, you always look at her with those heart eyes,”
“Oh, but you do and the others can back me up,”
“Matt?” Y/n groaned, opening her eyes. “Where am I?”
“I’ll leave you two alone,” Kelly left the room, leaving the two to talk. As soon as Kelly left, Matt grabbed y/n’s hand.
“You’re here at Med. Jason wasn’t too happy when you broke up with him, so he started to stalk you. He eventually kidnapped you from your house,”
“I really know how to pick ‘em huh,” She frowned. “I should’ve listened to you and the others when you guys said Jason wasn’t good for me. I’m so stupid!”
“You aren’t stupid,” Matt caressed her cheek, guiding her to look at him. “You’re far from stupid. You are an amazing person,”
“Yeah,” Matt smiled, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. “I was going to tell you how I felt, but then you said you were seeing someone, so I suppressed my feelings. As the months went on, I noticed you’d flinch when someone touched you or even came near you. Not too long after that, I noticed you’d show up for work with bruises. I was concerned, but figured if there was something going on you’d tell me. But then I didn’t hear anything from you in a couple of days and I just got this gut feeling that something was wrong,”
“So you went to intelligence for help?”
“Yeah. They found you in an abandoned warehouse on the other side of town. When Jay told me they found you, I was relieved, but then he said you were barely alive. I thought I’d never get the chance to tell you how I feel about you,”
“Can we take things slow?”
“Of course. I’m willing to wait until you’re ready,”
This... This is bad. But its not the worst, right? And to the anon that requested this, I’m so sorry this took so long. I was extremely unmotivated while writing this. I wrote maybe one or two paragraphs a day. I hope you can forgive me.
I usually don’t have a problem with making everything flow together, so I know its weird seeing how everything is broken up.
I hope you enjoy your request!
btw, wayfield street is made up street name.
If your name is crossed out I couldn’t tag you.
